About the adventure

In a world ruled by tyrants, only pirates dare dream of freedom. Vearth is a vast ocean world, 75 percent water and scattered with thousands of islands in every imaginable shape, size, and biome. From scorching deserts and futuristic ravines to jungle paradises and glittering gambling nations, each island holds its own culture, secrets, and dangers. You will encounter noble selfless heroes, cunning pirates plotting to burn the world, and everything in between, all with you and your crew at the helm. For over 400 years, the World Government has ruled the seas with an iron grip. Formed by a council of ancient nobles, they claim to keep the peace, but only when it serves their interests. Those who dare to challenge them are erased from history. Bound by fate, convenience, or the promise of treasure, you and your fellow adventurers will chart a course across uncharted waters, uncover long buried truths, and carve your names into legend. And perhaps, if fortune smiles, you will claim one of the priceless and mysterious Devil Fruits for your own. ⚓ A full campaign journey from level 3 to 20. Grow from a rookie pirate to a living legend ⚓ Live your seafaring fantasy with a DM whose top priority is your agency, creativity, and enjoyment ⚓ Every choice matters as your decisions shape the crew’s path and the fate of the world around you ⚓ Bring your dream character to life and see their story woven seamlessly into the world and narrative Reserve your seat now and raise your flag. The seas of Vearth await.

About me

Looking for a DM who's #1 priority is your agency and enjoyment? Then look no further! I'm Taylor or Beptis and I'm a full-time professional Dungeon Master. With my plethora of funny voices and army of little-guys, I try my absolute hardest to immerse and hook you into the setting. On top of that I'm dedicated to making sure your character's aspirations and goals are weaved into the story in a way that you find satisfying. From fun RP and improv, to tear-jerking moments of development, my games are littered with role-playing opportunities that’ll leave you needing a break to contemplate what you say next. A creative and cool story-telling moment will always outshine the rule book. At the end of the day, I just want to tell a one-of-a-kind story with some cool people regardless of any background. So sign up or shoot me a message and let’s play D&D together!

Character creation

Creating your character

Your adventure begins in a safe corner of the world on the island of Kona. Where your character comes from and how they arrived is entirely up to you. This is a magic lite setting, so there are no full casters. To balance the reduced magic, you will choose from a set of unique Fighting Styles (special feats designed to help your character fill their niche and feel powerful right from the start). Character Guidelines ⚓ Start at level 3 ⚓ Everyone begins with their chosen Fighting Style ⚓ Point Buy for ability scores ⚓ 2024 Classes (2014 content available on request) ⚓ No starting as a Wizard, Sorcerer, Warlock, Druid, or Cleric ⚓ Everyone will have an opportunity to eat a Devil Fruit during the campaign. You may design your own or select from options I provide ⚓ A solid, open ended backstory makes it much easier to weave your character into the world ⚓ No species restrictions (One Piece inspired species are welcome) ⚓ Feats for Haki become available starting at level 4

What Taylor (Beptis) brings to the table

For Your Adventure on the Seas of Vearth, I Provide: ⚓ A wide variety of custom maps, NPC art, and visual aids to bring each unique location to life ⚓ Fully voiced NPCs with distinct personalities ⚓ Homebrew features, items, and mechanics inspired by the world of Vearth, including Devil Fruits, Fighting Styles, and Haki ⚓ An inclusive, safe table where everyone can enjoy D&D without fear of judgment My style of DMing rewards those who like to try and be creative with their approach to problem solving. The rules are guidelines and can sometimes be twisted to benefit a fun storytelling opportunity.

Homebrew rules

⚓ Drinking a potion is a bonus action. Feeding someone else a potion is an action ⚓ Only unique firearms use ammunition in this setting. No standard weapon requires reloading ⚓ Defeated Rule: Falling to 0 HP grants 1 level of exhaustion. Failing 3 death saves adds 2 more levels of exhaustion. Reaching 6 levels of exhaustion results in death ⚓ A natural 1 is always considered a failure, and a natural 20 is always considered the best possible outcome ⚓ No critical fumbles in combat (a natural 1 will not cause you to harm your allies by accident)

How Taylor (Beptis) creates a safe table

⚓ We play on Discord and Roll20, with D&DBeyond sheets open and ready to go at the scheduled time. Sessions run 2 to 3 hours with at least one 10 minute break in the middle to stretch, grab a snack, or take care of whatever you need. ⚓ My games lean toward RP and exploration, with combat showing up when it serves the story, reinforces the setting, or when you push things a little too far. I aim for a healthy mix of both. Character death is harder here but still possible, especially as the stakes and power level rise. ⚓ Open Door policy. If you need to step away, no questions and no judgment. Missing a session happens, but frequent absences might affect refunds or your spot in the game. ⚓ Players of any experience level are welcome. I love teaching the game and can guarantee you will be having fun by the end of your first session. ⚓ Expect plenty of time to do whatever you want. I usually give you full control over where you spend your time and energy, it is your story after all. RP is completely up to you, and I do plenty of ridiculous voices so the judgment is always on me, not you.
