Pathfinder 2e | Campaign
About the adventure
In the land of Tian Xia, more specifically the small region of Shenmen that was only recently under the thumb of the empire of Lung Wa. Nestled in there is a small town called Willowshore, insiginificant in the grand scheme of things but most important to You, for whether by choice or fate you have lived part or most of your life in this place and have much connections to its people and culture. While the future seems uncertain for your people with all the political upheaval caused by the fall of the empire, everyone in town stays hopeful for Summer is just around the corner and preparations for the Reenactment ritual, a gala meant not only to celebrate the end of spring, but to trick the evil spirits and ghosts believed to come out of the woods during the first few weeks of summer. You are chosen to play the roles of abducted individual taken by your neighbors who are disguised as ghosts in a big charade to trick real Spirits to leave your town in peace for its already *haunted*. However as you spend that night in the woods, something terrible awakens near Willowshore and with it comes great dangers to You and everyone you hold dear, as the first day of summer comes it will bring with it much trials and tribulations for the town of Willowshore from monstrous assailants to mysterious curses and supernatural events. Will You have what it takes to give your people hope and help them persevere against these odds or will You fall against the insurmountable Season of Ghosts and doom Willowshore to a fate worse than death!
Game style
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

I've been playing Zak's variant Dragon of Icespire Peak game for several months now. This is an episodic, combat-focused adventure, where Zak has done a fantastic job of encouraging creative role-play and character building in between well-designed set piece battles. Our group has a mix of experience, and Zak has given everyone time in the spotlight. Most importantly for online play with strangers - this kind of happens in the background, but you'll really notice it when it doesn't happen - Zak has provided an experience of a core group of people reliably getting together to have fun.
Can't recommend enough. Incredibly competent, allows for player creativity while keeping forward momentum for the story going. Awesome world building, characters etc... you name it he's got it. Great for absolute beginners or advanced. Seems to have a real love and passion for the game and has a ton of fun being a GM!
I've been playing in a few campaigns with Zak for over two years, and wouldn't hesitate to join another, when the current one I'm playing with him winds down. He has a gift for keeping players engaged. This is especially true if you're the type of player that creates characters with detailed backstories, he always finds a way to work that into the overall story. He also has a great aptitude to take existing modules, and adding or adjusting as needed to keep the content fresh, and relevant to the players and their characters. I'd love to include more tags for the "How would you describe your Game Master?". In addition to the ones I've selected, I'd add Rule of Cool, Good For Beginners, and World Builder.
I'm playing in three of Zak's games. He's energetic, creative, funny, and he is very flexible with his schedule for make-up sessions. The background and lore of his games are always top-notch. He can run games that focus on combat and exploration, or he can run games about horror or communal bonds. His dedication to roleplaying and voice acting are stellar; he never phones it in. If you want to have some serious fun in Pathfinder or smaller one-shot RPGs, give Zak a chance to impress you. You won't be disappointed.

What I provide
All that you can expect from a professionally made Foundry VTT module in addition to all the supplementary modifications that elevate the online experience using a highly curated mod lists that is free from most of the complications some mods have on lower end computers. A curated Soundtrack playlist to make sure every moment in the game has the right music to accompany it, in addition to that I will also be doing my best to voice act every important NPC and give them their own mannerisms and accents You can expect an experienced DM who does not shy away from the players creative decisions and works with them to help make their vision come true within the confines of the rules(with a bit of twisting for cool moments)
Gameplay details
We will be starting with a free session 0 where we will go through the different safety tools I'm implementing and getting to know each other and once that's done we will jump into what to expect of the game and a few guidelines on how to make characters that will have a strong connection to the town of Willowshore from owning small property to having family and friendly NPCs, perhaps even having familial ties with the other Player character. Once that's done we will talk party comp and who wants to play what, this game is ready for new players and as such I'm available during and after session 0 to help the making of your character to fit your vision. We will be using Pathbuilder to first set up the sheets before i will upload them to Foundry VTT and get them ready for use on session 1.

How will character creation work
âś… Starting level will be 1 âś… All classes are allowed Except for Gunslinger and inventor due to them being setting and theme inappropriate âś… All Common ancestries are allowed, Uncommon will probably be allowed as well just let me know and Rare will require more looking into to see if they will fit into the region and the story. âś… Backgrounds must be either general or one of the Season of ghosts Backgrounds which I recommend đźš« No Evil or lone wolf Characters âś… Free Archetype Allowed âś… Variant Ability Boost Allowed
