Paradise Lost
Cyberpunk Red | Campaign
About the adventure
In a dystopian future where the very presence of the technocratic rule of machinery and power-hungry corporations, the desire for "an easy way out" is something that many would give all they have to get it. A corporation made this possible, but at what cost? Word on the street says this is nothing but a rumor, created by crazy rotten-brain net-runners about things written as fiction. But that's not all. You get a message from a well-known fixer. He says the job you have involves something a bit more specific than the usual rumble you deal in Night City. He says he needs to talk about this in private. When you ask for more info, you get no answer. Sounds like the negotiations will be the old fashioned way. The problem is Night City is currently on a forced "lockdown" because of a cargo truck hit where several goods were stolen. They framed a group of nomads and put the cops on their tail, but everybody knows this is not the real reason behind it. Moving through the streets became a little more complicated since the cops are on the lookout for suspects. And, as if you haven't had enough setbacks for a single day, you woke up with sirens blasting on the streets. Something else happened a few miles away from your position. You turn on the news and catch up with the facts: A reactor leak happened, which made a lot of people uncomfortable. It seems the corpos got everything under control, but the poor people living in the area got restless and decided to protest about it. It seems those promises of escapism are quite tempting right now, hm? Welcome to Night City, choomba! Your day in the life has just begun.

How to prepare
Be open-minded and expect a game where storytelling, character interactions and dramatic scenes will be the main focus of the campaign. I will use Roll20 for dice rolls and character sheets, but the whole game will be run as a Theatre of the Mind. The DM will run this with a minimalist approach. This game is planned to be a short campaign. It'll be no more than ten, maybe fifteen session. A working mic and Discord is necessary to play. Please check your timezone and game details before applying. New players will be interviewed first.
What I provide
I'll run the game using enough stuff to enhance the gaming experience and atmosphere like background music and some pictures to add flavor to the game. For Cyberpunk, I prefer using a Theatre of the Mind approach rather than use resources, maps, tokens and anything of sort. I choose Roll20 to run, but bear in mind I'll keep things simple so it won't take space from roleplaying and description. Imagination is the key on this table! :) P.S.: The GM is kinda new to this rulesystem, so be patient! I'm learning new things everyday.
Gameplay details
Session Zero is the moment where you can communicate your boundaries. Since Cyberpunk RED is a game more suitable for +18 and involves several themes that can make people uncomfortable, it is important to talk about it prior to the game session. It is also the moment where the players can create your own characters.

How will character creation work
Every character will use the standard rules for character creation according to the rulebook. A maximum of 1,000 word background is crucial to play. A character with no background is an incomplete character, and, therefore, not suitable to play. The character will be created on session zero only.
