Each session will run for about 3 hours. Once all players are acquired and ready, the first session can begin on Fridays, however the hour we start can be accommodated for everyone's leisure.
Game style
Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Combat Heavy
“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.
Under raging storm clouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. The vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A cold, bitter wind spins dead leaves about him, billowing his cape in the darkness. Lightning splits the clouds overhead, casting stark white light across him. Strahd turns to the sky, revealing the angular muscles of his face and hands. He has a look of power—and of madness. His once handsome face is contorted by a tragedy darker than the night itself. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as Strahd turns his gaze back to the village. Far below, yet not beyond his ken, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd’s face forms a twisted smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they have come—all according to his plan. He, the master of Ravenloft, will attend to them. * LGBTQIA+ Friendly * Premium maps and Token Art. * Professional Tokenization of your VTT token art. * DM with over 3,000 hours on Roll20 and 5 years experience. * Plus GM features on Roll20

Tim is an amazing GM/DM in a way where he is able to efficiently balance the storytelling and the combat happening within the campaign. It helps us players get immersed within the game in a natural way and everything just flows really smoothly. He does such amazing voices for the NPCs which makes interacting with them much more fun and overall just a really cool GM/DM to play with.
Tim is a great DM- he knows how to strike that delicate balance of keeping things fun but also keeping them moving. He always seems able to adapt gracefully to any shenanigans the players get up to, while also gently quelling any suggestions that get a little TOO out there. Very talented, 10/10, would play again.
I've been playing in Tim's campaign for almost 2 years. They create a comfortable playing space. Pretty open with most topics. Easy to talk to. Knows the rules. He has the best vampire twink voice, it's honestly made the whole curse of strahd experience...we can never forget Vasilli. (Broski should run a COS again)

How will character creation work
We will be going over character creation on session 0 as well. Stats will be rolled in the VTT at that time, no sooner. If you wish to have lower stats (example: low INT Barbarian) you may choose to just have that, but you can't go higher. Characters will be level 2 and will level up in milestones. We will only be using official 2014 material.
