About the adventure

Invited to a prestigious storytelling festival in Highhelm, the greatest dwarven city, a clan's eclectic guests explore every corner of the metropolis to build their own legends. Yet when these budding celebrities find a relic linked to one of dwarvenkind's greatest heroes, they're drawn into a mysterious ancient urban intrigue that kicks off a deadly treasure hunt. The players will start off doing a bunch of fun odd jobs around the city while they try and gain reputation. That is until they are asked to delve into the caverns that surround Highhelm to search for artifacts. All to gain enough prestige to impress the higher up of Clan Tolorr.

Game style

Rules as Written (RaW)

Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.

Combat Heavy

“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

How to prepare

To start players will need to have an account on The Forge website Which is the server hosting website I use to hos the Foundry VTT They will also need to have access to a mic and discord for us to be able to speak with one another. Most other things will be done during session 0.

What I provide

I will have all the maps, tokens, and music prepared and ready for the players for the games. I will try to make the Atmosphere suit where the characters are currently located. Keeping it Jovial for the light hearted parts, or dark for the darker parts. I try to make voices for each character, but sadly I'm not a voice actor. Though I do feel I can make each character feel like an actual person who is alive. I've also been told I do have a wide range of old man voices lol.

Gameplay details

This game is a pretty standard fantasy setting where I don't feel like there will be too much for people to worry about, but we will discuss all worries people may have during session 0. During session 0 is also a good place to talk about any boundaries that we don't want to cross as well as what I expect from my players.
