About the adventure

Well, Hey there, Family… That word, Family, is the only way to survive these hills. Whether it is by blood, choice, or dumb luck, whether it is the Family that is given to you or the Family that is found, they make the difference between death and life. In one way or another, this campaign is about you and that Family trying to make it in these dark hills where many things far darker than our minds will let us imagine dwell in quiet and waiting. You and this Family will decide what you are out to do in life as you fight off the evils of this world, natural, foreign, and evil. This Old Gods of Appalachia campaign is set in the 1920s/1930s. In session 0, we will form the Family found, by blood or a mixture of both. We will make the characters and determine the arcs we will explore in this campaign. Then we will begin as you discover love, loss, friendship, and darkness. This game uses the Cypher system. All rules will be taught. Art: TM Monte Cook Games, LLC.
