About the adventure
Welcome to Silent Falls, your home in the woods of Northern California. It's the last school day before Winter Break, and this time yesterday, most of you were looking forward to two weeks of freedom - but all your plans just changed. Alice Briarwood, your friend, is missing. Now, when you get to school, there's a Missing Person poster up with her picture on it. You have to do something! Will you find her? Will you at least find out what happened to her? What you learn will change you forever. "Alice is Missing" is an award-winning RPG with a unique format and a new virtual tabletop (VTT) designed for it, PixelTable. We meet at the beginning and end over Discord Voice, but in between, our characters can communicate only by "text messages" through the VTT. This format creates a surprisingly intense, gripping drama that will haunt you.

How to prepare
Webcam is recommended, a good mic is required. Joining my Discord server is necessary during the session, and you're welcome to stay afterward if it please you. Make sure you can access a quiet place at least during the setup part of the game to record in-character voicemails.
What I provide
I bring all the "Alice is Missing" materials, a private Discord server, guidance on learning the official virtual tabletop, and decades of experience with intense, co-created, character-driven roleplaying games like Alice is Missing.
Gameplay details
The game starts in Discord, where we will be in voice chat to discuss the rules and safety tools, and where we will develop our character relationships, for 30-45min. We'll have a break and return for the 90min live gameplay using Alice is Missing Digital Edition (free & provided). After the gameplay ends, we return together to debrief before ending. I encourage you to have your webcam on during set-up and debrief, if possible. This game covers some intense and mature topics, and these vary depending on the cards drawn during play. Before we start play, we'll learn each others' needs around specific content and potential triggers. Reach out with any content questions you may have. A core part of my job to provide you with a safe environment to play this often emotionally-intense game.

How will character creation work
On our Discord server, we will pick characters as soon as we have enough players to set the game to Active. There are 4 established characters players may choose from: -Dakota Travis, the best friend. -Jack Briarwood, the older brother. -Julia North, the secret girlfriend. -Evan Holwell, the one with the crush. At session, we will build the characters' backstory, how they know Alice, and other complexities of their existence before we start the 90-min session itself.
