About the adventure

The year is 1892, London is caught in the grip of rapid industrialization. Its gas lit streets are home to both the wealthy and the poor alike where fog rolls in from the Thames cloaking the many alleyways and those using them in a shroud. In recent years criminal gangs and more sinister groups have been prowling the night and rumours of ghostly apparitions circulate through many public establishments. The government has assured the people that the situation is being dealt with but after police find a mutilated corpse hanging impossibly from Big Ben, panic spreads like an unchecked fire through London and is flamed by several other similar murders that occur in the following weeks with the police being left powerless as they attempt to deal with the hordes of panicked citizens. You find a letter from individual called Professor Alexander Sutton inviting you to his estate on Victoria Street and so curious as to why such a person would want, you stand outside the mansion just as a thick fog rolls in but was there a face in the mist maybe but the front door slowly opens with a loud creak revealing an elderly man who waves for you and several others in as it begins to rain. This campaign will be using COC 7th ed and Cthulhu by gaslight rules.
