About the adventure

Welcome to Westeros, the world of George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. The year is 297 AL. Fourteen years ago, Robert's Rebellion reshaped the Seven Kingdoms, but that is all in the past now... or rather it is supposed to be. In reality the war has left behind mysteries, dangers and opportunities, all of which your noble house can experience if only they have the courage to do so. If you can face down killers, outwit lords and travel to foreign lands, your House just might win the Game of Thrones. This is a game of Green Ronin's A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying Game, specifically its Dragon's Hoard chronicle. The system lets you create your own house and characters and tell your own story in Martin's epic, gritty world. This game is based on the A Song of Ice and Fire books rather than the TV show adaptation, but since our story begins a year earlier, differences are minimal and show fans can enjoy themselves just as much. The future events of the series are not set in stone for our story and can be changed by player action.

About me

Hello, I'm Caestus. I've been playing roleplaying games ever since I was old enough to do so. I 've played or run 100 different rpgs. I'm a big fan of science fiction and fantasy. I've been running games for friends and family for years. While I feel that telling a good story is a key part of being a good gamemaster, more important than the story is making sure all the players at the table have a good time; I consider that the chief duty of any gamemaster. I hope to run a wide variety of games here, especially less common games, and I hope you enjoy playing RPGs with me.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will cover character creation and House creation (In the ASIOAF roleplaying game your family has its own important stats) in a session 0, for which players will not be charged.

The current party

We currently have a tourney knight, a landed knight, a noble schemer an archer and an essosi sellsword. We've completed the Dragon's Hoard treasure hunt and are on to a King's Landing tournament.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should have a microphone but do not need a webcam. Players should have a roll20 account and a discord account. Reading the rules ahead of time and having a character concept and your position in the House in mind are useful but can also be done during session 0.

What Caestus brings to the table

I will bring a roll20 account that lets me use maps, images and music to immerse players as well as the core rules for ASIOAF and the Dragon's Hoard chronicle book

Safety

How Caestus creates a safe table

We will establish our Lines and Veils during Session 0. Westeros is a brutal, gritty world, but there's no need to dwell on the most unpleasant parts of it.
