Creating your character

Character creation will happen either prior or during Session 0 - The character sheets will be made on D&D Beyond - DnD 5e/2014 Rules - Starting level 1 - Point Buy - Milestone - Fixed Hit Points - Optional Class Features and Customize Your Origin are allowed - All Feats and Silvery Barbs are allowed - No Multiclass Requirements

Preparing for the session

Please make sure you have a good microphone and a stable internet connection. A webcam is optional, but not necessary. Be sure to sign up on D&D Beyond before Session 0. A Discord account is required, as we’ll be using both FoundryVTT and Discord for the game. Application: When you apply for one of my tables, please include a short introduction note in which you tell me, for example, why you chose to apply for this table, about your playstyle, your ideas and what you enjoy most in D&D! This helps me get a first impression and determine if this table is a good fit! :)

What Jen brings to the table

— Backstories — I will do my best to incorporate each character's backstory into the campaign, either by connecting it to the main plot or by adding unique storylines that align with the campaign's setting and the party's motivations. Whether you prefer sharing rough ideas or writing detailed backstories, I will take the time to review your concepts carefully. Together, we will figure out what works best and discuss your goals and hopes for your character! — Homebrew — Regardless of the campaign we are playing, please be aware that I will make minor to major adjustments to the overall adventure. Most of these customizations are intended to make the experience smoother and more unique. I love adding new missions and side quests, often dedicated to a player character's background. I also enjoy creating challenges for the party to strengthen their bond and provide additional opportunities for character growth. — Voice Acting — I have participated in multiple acting workshops and classes, where I learned from professional voice actors and actresses. Giving the NPCs you encounter their own unique voices is one of my greatest joys! — Balance and Fairness — It is very important to me to consider each player's wishes and create a campaign where everyone's individual preferences are equally valued. The campaign will be shaped by the feedback and preferences shared by the players, ensuring that everyone has their moment to shine.

How Jen creates a safe table

During Session 0, players will be carefully introduced to the safety tools. A consent form will also be provided to fill out. I'll explain the contents of the consent form and answer any questions. We'll take the time to discuss what everyone expects from the campaign, and I'll warn players about any sensitive topics the adventure book might address. If you join the campaign later on, I'll make sure to contact you and provide all necessary information and resources before you play your first session with me!
