About the adventure
Veterans and beginners of TTRPGs are all welcome to join me in playing the first playtest scenario of Starfinder 2e! In this scenario you and your friends will take 1st level heroes to explore a planet that was once inaccessible until very recently. For this one shot you will be selecting from a list of pre-generated characters to go on this adventure. This is to help speed things along and showcase certain aspects of the classes. Of course, the personality of the character is completely up to you. The focus here is to have a good time but also go over the basic mechanics of the Starfinder system and general feel for the game. If you are a veteran looking for intense crunchy combat, you might want to wait for the next one-shot where things increase in difficulty. For this one shot I will not be doing a session 0 and will instead include time for players to go over characters and ask questions before diving into the adventure.

About me
Hi, I'm Ragnar or Michael if you prefer! I've been playing TTRPG's for over 11 years now as a GM and absolutely love it. I started with DnD 5e for 8 years and then branched off to playing other game systems such as Pathfinder 2nd edition, Starfinder 2nd edition, Delta Green, and a little Blades in the Dark. I'm interested in creating a fun and positive environment where most importantly anyone can feel safe and have fun. I am open to learning new systems if you have a group of people who are itching to try out something new. Shoot me a message and we can find a way to make it happen. There will always be a free session 0 for campaigns which we will cover everything from the tone of game to personal preferences, to character creation. Players will select a level 1 pre-generated characters created by Paizo.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should make sure they have a working microphone and a discord account in order to communicate with everyone. Video will not be included for this one-shot. Characters will be available via a google drive link to download. I ask that players look over the character ahead of time and if any questions come up to message me.
What Ragnar brings to the table
I will be using Paizo's Foundry VTT Starfinder Second Edition Playtest Deluxe Adventure Pack. This includes stylized character sheets, tokens, maps, music and sound effects. To bring more personality to the game I will use various character voices for NPCs and may slightly change aspects of the game based on group dynamics. I tend to stick to the rules as written with Paizo games because I personally feel it makes for a better and more balanced experience on average but I also like to reward cool and creative ideas so always feel free to ask if something is outside of the rules and we can find a way to make it happen.

How Ragnar creates a safe table
Prior/during the session anyone can feel free to message me any personal concerns they have, and I will accommodate as fast as I can. Afterwards I will go over the content of the session and ask for feedback. During this time if someone wanted to discuss something that took place during the adventure, I am open to going over the inciting event(s) whether it be with the group or one on one via discord.
