About the adventure
Quickly learn the ropes and play a long term campaign! This campaign is open to players of all experience levels; whether you're new to the game or a veteran, all are welcome! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 🎯 Take the "target" down 🤵 Stop the "bad guys" 👩💻 Steal "the codes" 🍻 Get schwasted Trouble in the big city! As a new age dawns in an Electric Metropolis, a highborn socialite plans a heist against a government backed scientific initiative. The target? Strange artifacts rumoured to rip open a veil to another dimension. Do you and your motley crew take the noble's job for an even nobler payout? Or do you believe in "progress" and warn the initiative of impending trouble? Or maybe there's an angle where only you would reap the benefits! These are mean streets, but someone's gotta profit; it might as well be you! Inspired by shows such as "Arcane" (Netflix), "The Wire" (HBO), and "Archer" (FX), this campaign is an adaptation of the currently in-development Blades in the Dark: 68 expansion! We will move through grand hotels, high-rise office towers, secret scientific bunkers, and beyond as world shattering changes befall the electric cosmopolitan of Doskvol!
Game style
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
New weekly campaign, every Monday, 7.30PM PST. New players will be added to the game server upon approval and are encouraged to discuss their character ideas with the group. They will then be scheduled for an extensive and guided one-on-one character creation call after session 0, or before their first group session if session 0 has already occurred.

How to prepare
Mics are a must; text will only be used for sharing notes. You will need Roll20 and Discord accounts, for rolling character sheets and group voice/video/text chat respectively.
What I provide
- Sourcebook and character options on Roll20 - Custom-made map bundles via Roll20, or licensed maps via dedicated digital artists. - Curated soundtracks and music for background ambience in-game. - All the abovementioned elements will be hosted via Roll20 and Discord.
Gameplay details
This Blades in the Dark campaign aims for a rated R content rating. Scenes of violence will be depicted, coarse language will be used by both in game characters and players, and some mature subject matter may be broached. If you have any questions or concerns about either the content of the adventure or the safety tools in use, feel free to message or schedule a call with me as soon as possible. Your comfort is the most important thing to me as a DM!

How will character creation work
Character and crew sheet creation will take place at session 0. Players will be added to the discord game server and sent a link to the Roll20 room where the sheets will be managed. Players are welcome to ask for an additional one-on-one call with the GM prior to the first session to further refine their character in private. In the case that you join the campaign as it is underway and less than 48 hours from a session, you will be provided a pre-generated character for that week's session. A guided character creation call will be scheduled at some point in the following week. Late joiners are encouraged to discuss character ideas among the rest of the group in the game channel via discord before they roll their character sheets.
