Star Wars: Age of Rebellion - Onslaught at Arda I | Beginners
Star Wars RPG by Fantasy Flight Games | Campaign
About the adventure
This campaign is the adventure module Onslaught at Arda I, published in 2014 by Fantasy Flight Games. Escape a Rebel base under assault, discover a traitor in the Rebellion's midst, and battle the evil Galactic Empire! Beginners welcome! LGBTQ+ friendly. Synopsis: You've recently joined the Rebel Alliance. Your reasons are your own, but you share a common goal: to oppose the tyranny of the Galactic Empire. Your training is just beginning at the Rebel base on Arda I when the Empire launches a devastating surprise attack! Surviving the Imperial assault is just the beginning. In the face of overwhelming military might, the greatest danger comes from within. Someone betrayed the location of the Rebel base to the Empire, and only you can find the traitor before it is too late...
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
The team can always use new recruits to join their hunt for a traitor in the Rebel ranks! We have an ex-Imperial pilot, a cook-turned-hired gun, and an emancipated droid mechanic. What skills will you add to the team?

How to prepare
Make sure to have a decent microphone—a headset mic works great. Create a Discord account if you don't already have one. I am happy to teach rules as necessary, so you do not need to read them yourself unless you just want to.
What I provide
We'll use a Discord server for communication, where we'll have access to a dice bot to handle rolling and other things. I can also set up a Roll20 for the game if we decide we want one during Session 0, but we can also stick to theater of the mind if that's what the group chooses. I am a long-time GM, game designer, and Star Wars fan with tons of campaigns under my belt. Player fun comes first, and Rule of Cool often trumps Rules as Written. I like to offer exciting, dynamic adventures with challenging combats and interesting dilemmas, and adapt toward what engages a group most. I've written official content for this game, published by Fantasy Flight Games (though not this adventure). I was also part of the Star Wars actual play Heroes of the Hydian Way during its second and third seasons.
Gameplay details
We will do a Session 0 to create characters and discuss vibes for the game. I'll also send out a Lines & Veils document prior to Session 0 and maintain a list of topics that should be treated carefully or avoided entirely.

How will character creation work
We will handle character creation together during Session 0, following the standard rules presented in the Age of Rebellion core rulebook. I will allow any career and specialization from the Age of Rebellion line, and most any alien species from the entire Star Wars FFG line (with a few exceptions if they're super weird). I am happy to share any books people do not have themselves. Feel free to come to Session 0 with ideas about what you want to play. If you aren't sure, or you are a new to the system, we can brainstorm fun characters during Session 0 together.
