📜THE HOOK📜 Gundren Rockseeker is a prospector. He's always on about how his next thing is 'The Big Lode' and how he'll retire and make anyone involved wealthy beyond their dreams. Over the years, Gundren and his brothers Tharden and Nundro have picked and scraped enough out of the hills to keep chasing their Big Score. But this time... this time something's different. Gundren's been tight-lipped about his next venture. When he offers you 10 gold to accompany him down to Phandalin, suggesting there's more to be made once there, it seems like money too easy to pass up. And maybe this time there *will* be more to follow... SPECIAL NOTE: I'll hand out Heroic Inspiration for puns. For new folks, that means 'crack jokes and you get bonuses.' No promises I'll have brain bandwidth for my own puns, so I'll be relying on you, the players, for all our glorious groans. About me
"What do you do?" is one of the most magical phrases in all of gaming. I've been playing and running tabletop games since the D&D cartoon aired. D&D in particular, even as a flawed system in its many iterations, has been a decades long golden thread connecting great things in my life. One of my first jobs was at a game store and I remember selling a Concerned Mom on the magic of D&D based on its promise of social engagement, math, and creativity all in a bundle. I stand by that decades later. Systems I've loved: - Bunnies & Burrows - Palladium's TMNT - Shadowrun - D&D 2e, 4e, 5e, 5.5e D&D in every incarnation has held a special place in my heart. Let's play!

We'll create Level 2 characters in Session 0, but please reach out if you have questions before then. I have a D&D Beyond campaign you can join to use any of the books I have access to, or any other official sources you have. We're using the 2024 rules. Let me know if you would like extra help with this step - I love making characters!

Homebrew rules
Drink a potion as a full action and get the full benefit (mostly applies to healing potions), drink it as a bonus action and roll it. Get Heroic Inspiration for in- or out-of-character puns. You can assign it to other players if you already have it.

How heysparky (Karen) creates a safe table
SAFETY: Hybrid Lines & Veils / Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist: Before Session 0, I'll collect completed checklists so that I can modify the campaign in anyway needed to make sure my table is fun and safe for everyone. Session 0: We'll start off by getting to know each other, setting expectations, code of conduct type stuff, and of course, making characters. Breaks: Say 'Pause' if you need a moment - please feel free to contact me individually or simply step away, we'll break for 3-5 minutes (if everyone is back after 3 minutes, we'll resume); if you need longer, please let me know. Stars & Wishes: After each session, we'll spend a few minutes discussing the adventure to make sure we do more of what we're enjoying and less of what we're not.
