About me
Hey! I’m Rane — a full-time Game Master and owner of The Death Save Society with a deep love for story-driven, character-focused tabletop RPGs. I’ve been running games for years across a wide range of systems, but no matter the ruleset, my focus is always the same: creating immersive worlds where player choices matter and characters are allowed to grow, fail, and shine. I specialize in cinematic, roleplay-forward campaigns that balance emotional storytelling with meaningful combat and player agency. I love weaving character backstories into the core narrative, designing memorable NPCs, and building moments that feel earned — whether that’s a quiet campfire conversation, a tense moral dilemma, or a high-stakes showdown that changes the world. My tables are welcoming, collaborative, and beginner-friendly. You don’t need to be an expert or a voice actor to play in my games — just someone who’s excited to engage with the story and respect the people at the table. I use safety tools, encourage open communication, and prioritize making sure everyone feels comfortable and included. Outside of the table, I run multiple long-form campaigns, one-shots, and live-play games, and I’m always experimenting with new ideas, settings, and systems. I love building worlds that feel alive and evolving, and I treat every campaign as a shared creative project between myself and my players. Creating your character
This adventure starts at level 1 and players start with a free feat If you're new to 5e, I'm happy to help with all the basics and creating your first character. 👀 You can also keep your character sheet on any platform or even on paper. If you want to roll physical dice we can discus when to do so, I won't stand between you and your clickity-clacks.
Party is currently level 5 and consists of an Aasimar Warrior of Mercy Monk, a Halfling Circle of Shepard Druid, and a Dragonborn Evoker Wizard. Party is currently in Bazzoxan doing quests to get into Betrayers Rise!

How Rane creates a safe table
☑️ - I will have a living doccument that will be provided to each of you. During session 0 we will review Lines and Veils these can change over time so feel free to express if a new Line or Veil pops up! The adventure will be changed accordingly no questions asked. 🤫 - I will have private channels for players to send me messages about secrets, character thoughts, or to communicate the X Card. 🪄 - We will take a break at the half way point for both biological and cooling off reasons, if nature calls feel free to leave you dont need to wait for me. 🎭 - I also spend extra time in the voice call before and after session talking about anything to anyone, including but not limited to the game. ✨ - Stars and Wishes will be done after every session to guage how well the session went and to adress anything that you want to see more or less of.
