About the adventure

📖Arcane secrets and haunting rituals are taking place from Neverwinter to Baldur's Gate. In dark alleys, forgotten islands, and sealed crypts the Cult of the Dragon is spreading out of control. In the streets of Neverwinter civilians are going missing, neighborhoods are being extorted and the city Watch is unable to keep up. Join our heroes on their investigation to solve the mysteries of the cult and save the sword coast. 🎲This campaign started off with the Dragons of Stormwreck Isle and has now spiraled into a homebrew game where our party is now returning to Neverwinter, investigating the strange occurrences happening in the city. 🤝New players will require to meet with me for a private character creation session before the game begins.

About me

I try to run new systems frequently, and like to keep things fast paced, interesting, and most importantly narratively moving forward. In longer campaigns I'm more likely to make shopping a montage than to go over every mundane interaction. My style of running a table tends to lean towards narrative focused gameplay, with dynamic combats, and lighthearted games. I hate when I play something and the only objectives are merely fetch this and kill that, that's what initially glued me to the TTRPG scene, the nearly endless possibilities and solutions to problems. With describing scenes of violence I tend to lean towards the gruesome and bloody, and love when players get into the savagery of their finishing moves, but while keeping the themes of the games lighthearted and fun

I am currently in a campaign with Crusty, and I am loving it. This was my first introduction to D&D and I am very thankful for his patience, and knowledge. 100% would recommend having Crusty as a DM.

Crusty is an amazing DM! Always prepared and ready for sessions. Great story teller and includes different voices for NPCs. Maps and background music make every session more immersive, and he knows the rules very well. Also super helpful in character creation and developing your PC throughout the campaign.

He's my buddy so I might be biased, but I think he's a pretty damn good DM. He's run over two dozen games at this point with several systems under his belt and has a strong tendency to roll with the punches and cook up some pretty out of pocket improv for some of the wilder player choices. Definitely likes to challenge his players, make sure to tell him to not go easy on you just because you're paying him cash money.

It was such an excellent, smooth introductory run of a system I had no previous knowledge of. Crusty made everything so accessible and clear and we ended up having a very fun session.

Character creation
Creating your character

👥Character creation will be done privately before the session starts, where we'll go over stats, house rules, expectations and how you'll fit into the story. 📖Primarily leaning towards 2024 rules, older 5e content will be allowed, with some discretion to be modified - Rule of Cool above all else. 💻Using the Foundry VTT web browser app, I run a private server with integrated dice rolling, character sheets, music, maps and tokens.

The current party

I'll be available up to two hours before the designated start time to go through your character creation and get you up to speed with how you'll be joining the game Currently at sixth level our party is neck dep in the investigation of the Dragon Cult, mass disappearances and newfound clues connecting the cult to the criminal underworld of Neverwinter and the illusive Zhentarim The party so far: Eldrin, Wood Elf Ranger (Hunter) Limmick, Human Warlock (Pact of the Genie) Evex, Dragonborn Bard (College of Valor) Moonshadow, High Elf Rogue (Arcane Trickster)

What to expect
Preparing for the session

💬Having a Discord account for voice 💻Something with a web browser to open the Foundry page - Mobile devices unfortunately run poorly 🌟A friendly team focused attitude 🚫Lone wolfs, Downer Debbies, Rule Lawyers, Homophobes, ANYTHING non-consensual (PVP included)

What Crusty brings to the table

🤖Playing on Foundry VTT & over Discord, I'll be bringing a full integrated soundtrack for background music, custom tokens, maps and handouts. 🎨NPC voices make everything fun. Descriptive combats that are fast moving. Detailed narration to keep you intrigued, and proper player spotlighting to make sure everyone is a main character. 🌟With deep character background connections I'll bring your character to life with motives, hooks, and connections drawing you into the story on a personal level, altering the module as I see fit to better align with the parties playstyle and expectations. 🎲A great understanding of the rules with a few tweaked preferences, all for the players enjoyment.

Homebrew rules

• Custom stat rolling for Character Creation (results higher than standard array) • Dynamic Initiative - every round of combat initiative is rerolled • Public Rolls - All DM rolls are in front of the table - no punches pulled

Safety
How Crusty creates a safe table

Player comfortability is a high priority, with an open door policy, I encourage all players to send me any possible concerns before the game of topics to avoid, I can be quite descriptive with combat, and I also hope no one hesitates to send me a message during game if there is any subject they'd prefer to 'fade to black' on.
