Tyranny of Dragons - Tiamat's Unbeknownst Adversaries!
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
Dragon fire threatens to consume Faerun! Do you dare oppose the Cult of the Dragon and resist the might of Tiamat, Queen of Dragons? Welcome to Tyranny of Dragons. This book collects two thrilling tales, "Hoard of the Dragon Queen" and "Rise of Tiamat, " combining them into a single campaign-spanning D&D adventure! This adventure is designed for a party of (4-6) 1st-level characters, who should advance to approximately 15th level by the time they reach the final showdown with the goddess Tiamat herself. In the course of this adventure, you'll face an evil alliance intent on unleashing a draconic apocalypse upon Faerun. The Cult of the Dragon, the Red Wizards of Thay, and a conspiracy of other villains plot to reshape the world, making it ready for the coming of Tiamat. As events unfold, dragons rampage across the Sword Coast, serving at the vanguard of a legion of cultists, fiends, and worse. To oppose these forces, new heroes must rise and resist them-yet they need not do so alone. Groups like the Harpers, the Lord's Alliance, and even the wicked Zhentarim might be rallied to oppose the Cult of the Dragon, but only if clever souls convince them to put aside their age-old rivalries. Will the people of the Realms stand and oppose the forces of dragon-kind, or will they fall amid waves of dragon breath? Tyranny of Dragons is set in the Forgotten Realms on Faerun's western shore-the Sword Coast. A thin strip of civilization stretches down this coast, where widely spaced cities are arranged like beads on a string. Roads loosely connect the cities that stretch from Luskan in the north to Calimport in the south, passing through Neverwinter, Waterdeep, Baldur's Gate, and other ports along the way. The Bulk of this adventure takes place on the stretch between Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter.

How to prepare
Before starting, players will need a free account on D&D Beyond, and a Discord profile I can invite to my D&D Discord Server. You will 100% need a mic of sorts and cameras are highly recommended! I will be using my camera every session :)
What I provide
I like to have players do character creation on D&D Beyond, for which I have a multitude of sourcebooks that can be used for a wide variety of character creation options. I use discord for videochat, and we'll use D&D Beyond maps (which they've made great updates to)! I personally love Roleplaying and getting into character and I try to have voices for all the notable NPCs throughout the campaign. I also use ambient music for whatever the situation is calling for. I do my best to follow the rules though I'm not opposed to letting something happen because it makes sense and it's cool.
Gameplay details
Prior to actually playing D&D, I have a pretty thorough session 0 where we will go over the campaign and some of its details along with a number of other things. In session 0, I will discuss not only what to expect but also, what the players are expecting out of the campaign as well. We will discuss what everyone is or isn't comfortable with so I can make note of that for the campaign. Also, if there are things people don't wish to say out loud, they can always message me privately. Usually around halfway through a session at a good stopping point I like to have a 5 min break. And always before and after the sessions I recap what has previously and just happened. At that time, we will have a short discussion about what we thought and how everyone is feeling and if there's anything else that they're looking for!

How will character creation work
Usually, I like to do character creation as the last step during session zero. I will by then have made a joinable campaign on D&D Beyond where everyone's character sheets will be all nice and together. I will note, I personally (when starting a new campaign) do character creation by myself, so for this reason, if any player wants to run off and create their character by themselves, I will ask at bare minimum, the party decide on everyone's classes before they leave. For character creation I stay throughout the whole thing to provide any assistance whatsoever, questions/recommendations/guidance etc.
