About me

Howdy! I'm Blerdy Disposition, a Queer Black Game Master and Youtuber. As a game master, I focus on horror games, old school DnD, and narrative games. Specifically my game sessions focus on heavy roleplay, rule of cool, and player creativity! If you are interested in playing in a game focused on roleplay and player creativity then reach out or sign up for a game. I am also happy to work with players interested in a custom game suited for their schedule When I am not running or playing TTRPGs, I have a Youtube Channel focused on learning more about indie TTRPGs and my tips for players and game masters running games.

I had a great time playing Call of Cthulhu: The Haunting with Blerdy. It's clear he prioritizes safety and inclusivity at his table, and even though I came in about in the middle of an ongoing storyline with another player, we were able to develop chemistry and rapport at the table. Blerdy gave us opportunity to roleplay and investigate, and set up an exciting and creepy final confrontation in the heart of the haunted house. Blerdy also kindly sent some DM resources over since I expressed an interest in trying to DM a future Call of Cthulhu game. At the end of our session, we discussed Stars and Wishes, and Blerdy was very gracious in taking feedback on the adventure and seemed very committed to making each game an enjoyable experience for players. I definitely recommend Blerdy, especially for new players and those looking for an inclusive experience. I look forward to playing with them again!

Blerdy is one of the best DMs a storytellers I've had the pleasure of playing with. Blerdy pays crazy attention to detail in weaving a world for the player. He finds unique ways to incorporate character background into the larger campaign narrative. However, it's his expert use of sound design that truly elevates the roleplaying experience; it is something you kind of just have to experience to fully understand the full atmospheric effect of. If you spend a lot of time creating interesting back stories for your characters and are looking for a DM worthy of breathing life into them, this is your guy. 10/10

I played with Blerdy as a sole player in Dungeon Crawl Classics. I expected it to be awkward, but he was very cool and excited about playing. He was great at setting up a mood and encouraged me to use my creativity to solve problems. The funnel was traumatizing (in a good way), making me develop an attachment for my characters I had never experienced before. Looking forward to playing more games with him.

Blerdy was incredibly welcoming and a joy to play with. Throughout the game, Blerdy showed great flexibility, adapting the gameplay to encourage us to explore different approaches while skillfully guiding us through the mechanics. I thought Blerdy maintained an excellent pace, seamlessly advancing the story while ensuring every player felt included. I highly recommend Blerdy as your next game master.

Safety
How Blerdy Disposition creates a safe table

I use a combination of Safety Tools Before, During, and After the Game. Before The Game: Session 0 📝 Code of Conduct at my Table I believe as a Queer Black GM, safety at my table is and will always be a number 1 priority. RPGs should allow us to safely explore topics we want and have fun with it. So that means this table and my groups are anti-racist, anti-queerphobic, and tolerating bigotry is entirely unacceptable. So any kind of behavior like that will result in immediate ejection from my game. Lines, Veils, and Boundaries 🪞 I use a set of primer topics to discuss what we do not want to see in the game. A sample of that is attached below https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TVfQ1_UyP7EyTUi6zK3FFvfFvucZRjaDHHFAoBmvhxM/edit#gid=2083970741 During my Game: Breaks🧱 I always make sure to include a 10+ minute break in my game. Of course breaks can be longer or shorter depending on what is best for the group at the time. After the Game: Stars and Wishes ✨ Post game and especially at the end of the campaign, I ask what people's stars and wishes. Stars are used for things people really liked during the game. Wishes are things participants would like to see in the future.
