About the adventure
Ever since you can remember, stories have been told about the old house sitting abandoned on the hill at the edge of the town. All the kids in town speak about Hook Hill in hushed tones, even the teenagers who are supposed to know better - you know, the big kids who frighten everyone who’s smaller, younger, or different from them? Yeah... those teenagers. You’re not sure what’s worse - those big kids or whatever’s supposedly haunting the house on Hook Hill... Set in the U.S. in the 90s, The Horror in the House on Hook Hill is a tutorial adventure for Kids on Bikes. By the end of this adventure your group will have built a small town, created characters, learned the rules for overcoming challenges, and worked together to start unraveling a mystery.

About me
Hi I'm Izetta or Z, I've been playing TTRPGs since 2014 after one fateful Halloween. I have spent my time since then honing my verbal and visual story telling skills as well as experimented with different games and groups. Some of the media I like to pull inspiration from is Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, Adventure Time, She-Ra, American Horror Story, Star Trek, and probably many more that I'm forgetting at the moment.

Creating your character
We will be using the Kids on Bikes 2nd Edition Core Rulebook for this game. Using some premade characters that you can customize, it only takes about 15 minutes to get started playing. Character sheets will be made in Alchemy (VTT).

How Izetta creates a safe table
I will send each player a link to a Lines and Veils document where we can anonymously share our boundaries. If there ever comes a time in-game where you feel a scene is becoming overwhelming, feel free to mute the audio and send me a message. I will promptly shift the scene to another topic and notify you when it has changed. I try to tailor my games to the group I'm playing with, any topic can be removed from the story without issue. If you do not want something to show up in game, please fill it out in the Lines & Veils document. Of course some things take us by surprise so don't hesitate to let me know if something new comes up in game. Some things I never include in games: - real world racism, I don't enjoy roleplaying it and it's not creative. - Incest of any kind. - Inappropriate relationships between adults, teens or children.
