A World of Possibility
A chance to tell the story of your character.
About the adventure
Have a cool character idea that hasn’t quite seemed to fit into a campaign? Already experienced a lot of pre-written adventures? Are you just knew to TTRPG's and are excited to experience one? Well now is the chance for a new adventure in my own world. There is no storyline set in stone for this campaign and I will write and tailor it around your characters backstories. A more traditional character driven meet in a tavern adventure where the outer planes are the limits, and the first session is free so come along and see if this game is for you.

About me
I have been DMing for 7 years, and have run multiple campaigns with brand new players and experienced RPG veterans alike. My most recent campaign just finished after nearly 3 years reaching all the way from level 1 to level 20 and I am excited to start some new stories. I run all my campaigns in my own homebrew world with players' actions having lasting impacts on the story of the world. At the forefront of my worldbuilding I enjoy creating engaging social encounters with a diverse pool of npcs, as well as constructing dynamic combat that is centered around puzzle solving and co-operative decision making. Session 0 / character creation is free as this will be chance to vibe check and communicate. Ensuring that you have the best possible time in our campaign and collaborating together to achieve this is a priority of mine and I encourage any specific questions about my DM'ing style and the campaign setting.

Creating your character
The first session will be free and will act as a session 0 and character creation where we can discuss everyone's expectations for the campaign as well as character goals and campaign style. I will help run you through character creation and work on integrating them into my world. Alternatively If you already have a character in mind we can discuss fitting them into the campaign. You can either use standard array or roll for stats. All characters will start at level 2 primarily because level 1 characters just have too few hit points and can easily die from a string of bad rolls. As I run my games on Roll20 characters will be created and managed in roll 20.
The party currently consists of a monk and a ranger if you are interested then come and join us on this adventure.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I run my campaigns in Roll20 and use discord to communicate so having both a discord and Roll20 account are the main requirements as well as having a functional microphone. The only other major requirement is just be respectful, we are all here to have fun 😀.
What Nathan brings to the table
I think my greatest achievement is that I have finished several years-long campaigns. I have been DMing for 7 years and have had several multi year long campaigns with my most recently finished campaign lasting nearly 3 years going all the way from level 1 to level 20. I run my games on Roll20 so there will be interactable maps for most encounters. I am proficient at a lot of different things which help quite a bit with DMing. I do my best with character voices and custom combat maps. I have several playlists of ambient music which I have been fine tuning over the years. I also make heavy use of homebrewed items, abilities and monsters to keep the challenges and rewards tailored to the party. Player agency and impact is a core part of my DMing style. I have the one homebrewed world which all my campaigns take place in and in which all my players' characters have had permanent impacts on.

How Nathan creates a safe table
We are all adults here to have fun playing D&D, as such the last thing I want is to make someone genuinely upset and leave with a bad experience. D&D is a place to have fun and feel better about your week, not worse. The exact lines of the campaign will vary from group to group and will be established in session 0 but you can expect not to find anything worse than what you would encounter in Baldur's gate. The most important part of session 0 to me is to make sure we all vibe and want to take part in the same kind of story. Player agency is also extremely important to me and making sure you always feel like you have control and agency on what is happening is something I emphasise. I will always hang around for a while after a session to debrief and check in with everyone, if nothing else to discuss how they are feeling about the campaign and what they are excited for. And if for whatever reason you are uncomfortable with something whether it is proactively or reactively I am happy to step aside and help accommodate.
