About the adventure
*Ironspine Keep is all that stands before a monstrous horde sent by the villainous lich Szass Tam. The heroes must defend a section of the fortress walls from encroaching monsters and internal spies, or the region will fall to Szass Tam’s tide of death.* “Hold Back the Dead” is part of a yearlong celebration of Dungeons & Dragons and its 50th anniversary. The adventure is designed for four to six level 4 characters. Accompanying the adventure are character sheets for the six protagonists of the beloved 1980s Dungeons & Dragons animated series: Bobby, Diana, Eric, Hank, Presto, and Sheila, all presented in young adulthood. The seventh character sheet presents Niko, a Cleric from a different set of adventurers who recently tumbled into the D&D multiverse. Each player can choose one of these characters or provide a character of their own, using D&D Beyond. As an experienced DM with extensive knowledge of the characters, the villains, and the Realms, this is going to be a lot of fun. This particular adventure is VERY combat heavy.

About me
Hail and Well Met Gamers! Some call me... Jeremy Jordan. I am an old gamer, game designer, RPG enthusiast, and have always held the belief that a game should be fun. I have worked on a lot of projects over the years, mostly D&D related. I was a Delegate for Wizards of the Coast, in addition to one of their convention staff. I helped launch 4th and 5th edition D&D, and have been playing since 1st edition. Recently I helped design and launch The Land Roleplaying System, based off of the best selling Chaos Seeds novels by Dr. Aleron Kong. In 2022 I moved 1000 miles from my player base to Florida, and am looking to once again run games for anyone willing to share a story with me. I'm happy to run D&D 3.5/4/5 for any group, and am currently setting up campaign terms for The Land Roleplaying System. I have an established Roll20 account with decent macros- please contact me if you would like to set up a gaming session. I tend to be corny - and I'm more about having fun with players than beating someone up over a ruling - and I will do my best to ensure we all have a good time.

Creating your character
Upon reserving a spot, you will be given a link to our D&D Beyond campaign, where you can use our resources to make a character. All of the character math is done - you simply choose what you want to upgrade and the generator does all the math. For this game, all characters will begin at level 4, including the premades.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
As this is an introductory game, there is no need for previous knowledge of the world or the system. We would appreciate all players having a working microphone with no background noise. We intend to use Discord for audio, and the game will be run on Roll20- so each player will need a free Roll20 account and a Discord account.
What Jeremy Jordan brings to the table
As this is a virtual game, all gaming materials are being virtually provided. Our system is modular; after this introductory adventure, our players can discuss the adventure and give feedback in secure Discord rooms to prevent spoilers for other players. All players will be able to participate in future events with their same character, which will be saved to our database. I'll bring my best entertaining self, plus some fun effects, and maybe some cats interrupting us.

How Jeremy Jordan creates a safe table
You can make your character on D&D Beyond or use one of the amazing premade characters. We have a high number of scripts and macros to speed up play, but our game is an introductory game if necessary - we will help you along if needed. This is standard 5th Ed D&D (2024 version), which we will teach to our new players. We have extensive macros and APIs built into roll20 to help blunt the need for mechanics. Ultimately our system is more about having fun and telling a story than getting bogged down with math. Join our discord if you have further questions: https://discord.gg/pcznc29wNu
