How to prepare
1) Please make sure your mic and camera are in working order. If you are unsure, we can test/troubleshoot this together on Roll20 when we connect one-on-one pre-game. 2) You will need a Roll20.net and Discord account. Both are FREE. 3) I'll send you a link to my discord. From there you'll get the link to our Roll20 tabletop. 4) Visit the link to Roll20 and get your character picked out asap. Don't pressure yourself to pick the "best" character. I made them all with love. I promise you they're all fun, well made, and interesting. 5) You will not need rulebooks or dice, I will provide all that. Rolls will be made with virtual dice on the roll20 tabletop.
What I provide
I provide the dice, rule books, maps, dynamic lighting, music, and artwork for characters and various locations, all delivered to you through the magic of the virtual tabletop. I also have a Roll20 pro account that provides lots of extra options to help games run more smoothly. All you need to bring is a good attitude and be ready to have a great time:) Bonus, you can print hard copies of your character from Roll20. You have my blessing to use them (for your personal use) elsewhere.
Gameplay details
All dice rolls will be made through the virtual table top. We will have voice through discord, and video is optional. I foster an atmosphere of teamwork and fun where we build each other up. I will meet on Roll20 with each player ahead of time to help pick characters and make sure all is ready. Here's our game night agenda: 1) Player introduction (20 mins): Let everyone know what got you interested in learning D&D. 2) Brief Roll20 tutorial: How to access your character sheets, move your character around on the screen, make dice rolls, and tips and tricks to make Roll20 work better for you. How will character creation work
I will be reaching out to each player ahead of time to get you on board and up to speed before game. Expect to hear from me soon after joining and get lots of help! Making a character is not covered in this tutorial because we are focusing on the broad concepts of the game and actually playing it. Beginner friendly pre-made characters will be provided. I've got 24 pre-made characters waiting for you on the Roll20 table top. Something for everyone. Chose your favorite! If you're new to D&D I suggest you just pick one that looks cool. I will be available on the discord for chat or voice help. Each character has awesome artwork associated with it. If you don't like the artwork of a character we can find another picture that inspires you. Also, opposite sex versions of most characters are available so ask if interested.
