Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

Fifty years have elapsed since the Kobold Enlightenment, and Sovnheim has evolved into an era of industrial advancement. However, the kingdom's future hangs in the balance. You are summoned to lead your people in a campaign fraught with peril, to rise to power, and to understand the depths of love and sorrow. Your decisions, from igniting revolution to governing Sovnheim, will shape a dynamic world of consequences affecting the entire realm. Prepare for unparalleled action and exploration, offering myriad ways to engage and combat adversaries. Along your journey, you'll encounter a diverse array of characters, each with their own quirks and humour. Choosing whether to ally with or oppose them leads to explosive confrontations. As you strive to sow the seeds of revolution and claim dominion over your realm, your choices will alter the course of history, for either the common good or personal ambition. Who will you emerge as? A rebellious figure without a cause, the very tyrant you rebelled against, or the most revered ruler of all time?

Game style

Rules as Written (RaW)

Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.

Theater of the Mind

“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Pickle is a methodical dungeon master who runs a well thought out game that centers around stellar world building. His games are welcoming, hilarious, and exciting. Pickle excels at creating a well balanced session and making sure everyone has time to shine. I recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent online tabletop experience.

I've played with Pickle for a couple of weeks now and he's really wonderful as a GM - very hands off, which allows for a lot of player agency, and really works with players to accomplish even the most outlandish goals. I love working with him - and honestly how could I dislike a DM that let me use a Godzilla-esque atomic breath weapon mid fight?

As a new dnd player, Pickle has been very patient with letting me figure out rules, etc. He is great at npc dialouge, world building, voices, and he has been a great gm for one of my first campaigns.
