Kal'tar has been GMing various games for me in person for a couple of years now, but I recently joined a few of his 'Start Playing' games as a fill-in player for him to use as needed. He is very knowledgeable about the various rules, loves to create and guide players into these new worlds, and is good for beginners to learn new systems. He has GMed both D&D and SWRPG (Genesys System) with great success. I highly recommend him for both systems and potentially any other you'd want to learn, so it can be done together with this great GM!

Kal'Tar is an amazing GM who creates a world that becomes visual in your mind and is immersive. He made it very easy for a beginner to learn the game in a comfortable environment. He knows the rules and many of the character types so well that it makes it easy to ask questions for clarifications on what you can do. I am in my second campaign with Kal and would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to play D&D or any other RPG game that he is GMing. He is great at setting pace in the adventure and creating challenging battles.

Let's the story play out. Provides milestones. Beginner friendly. Helps build your character from scratch. Can show useful tools such as DND Beyond. Provides background information on campaigns before they start to see if its your kind of campaign. Provides information on DND in books. Brings people in to the party to make sure all are included. Reasonable in DM'ing.

An amazing GM who creates a welcoming atmosphere! He is always open for advice and clarifications on rules and character building! Good for beginners and experienced players alike, but no one feels neglected or feels that the session is bogged down with constant questions, conversations, and role-play. Good mix of role-play and combat (and role-play during combat!) with lots of lighthearted moments. An amazing (and almost terrifying) attention to detail. He got back to me about a question my character asked, regarding the cost of an inn for retirement purposes! Very flexible and able to change things up on the fly (when the players go wild.)
