About the adventure

Welcome to my Ebberon game(I am newer to dming this setting and I do like playing things a bit differently than the average Ebberon campaign). I created this to be a little bit of a horror campaign, the adventure will start out in Sharn and where it ends up, is in the hands of the players. I like to include roleplay, which sometimes uses visuals and sometimes theater of the mind. I love to include combat which I do use Roll20 for maps. Occasionally a few puzzles.

About me

I enjoy playing dnd, have since I was a young girl, and started playing dnd again a bit when I was nineteen. When the pandemic started, I decided to look for one thing that I could do online...play dnd. I've been playing 5th edition rather consistently since then. Have completed three campaigns, and one of those was one I dmed for my friends. I decided to start dming professionally after hearing my friend and several other dm's at Dragon Con, about professional dming. I am currently dming a module campaign of Candlekeep with my own characters added and own story woven into the background of the game. I am brewing up a homebrew, with 5th edition rules mostly, but with a few things changed. I plan on seeking out other games that I am interested in and possibly dming them in the future; Call of Cthulu, Dragon Age, Doctor Who, and a few more. If your curious about my dm style, I love to role play it out and I do love combat. Not so much murder hoboing it out, but some times, it could get a little heavy with combat. My NPC's have backstories, and most of them are romancable but that means rolling some percentage die and taking risks...as we all do in love. My players have said that my games are a fair variety with a mix of laughs and good times.

Character creation

Creating your character

First session will be centered around character creation. Stats will be standard array. Characters can be created through Roll20 or DnD Beyond. Since this is an Eberron adventure, please do not refer to other worlds. XD

The current party

Hi my name is Jess and this is my Eberron game. This game explores the idea that not everything is right on Eberron, so for those who might be expecting "normal" might be disappointed. Let's play some fifth edition dnd! *This will be 2014 rules.* We have a blood hunter, druid and a cleric. Level five. Two sets of rolls for character creation.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need a mic that works and a quiet, noise free room to play in. Players will need a discord account, to join in voice chat. Roll20 to create a character, upload a character picture to use as a token, and to participate in game chat through texting occasionally. I use maps on Roll20 to help facilitate visuals for the games. DnD beyond if you would like to use that platform to create your character instead.

What Jess brings to the table

I do character voices, do not use ambient music because it is hard for me to concentrate on discussing it. I do have intense combat. I embrace a mixture of the Rule of Cool and stick to the Rules as Written.
