About the adventure
Alright, listen up, you rotten meatbags. You’ve been handed the most advanced Kaiju-killing tech humanity’s ever seen. The Catalyst system. It’s a weapon so powerful it’ll make the ground shake, the sky burn, and Kaiju scream in terror. We’ve got Dr. Thomas West and Dr. Ísey Ketilsdóttir to thank for that, but now the real test begins. Your mission: You’ve got the newest, most brutal Jaegers ever built, and it’s time to see if they can actually survive what’s coming next. You’ll test Catalyst against a Kaiju threat. You’ll take the fight to the monsters. You’ll rip through them with your Jaeger’s weapons powered by pure destruction. You’ll show the world what it means to mess with humanity. We don’t run from monsters. We make them regret ever waking up. But listen up—something’s wrong with these Kaiju. They’re stronger. They’re angrier. They’re freaking berserk, and they’re gonna make you work for it. Their bioluminescence has gone from blue to blood red, and that means we’ve got a whole new breed of monster on our hands. These things are faster, meaner, and tougher than anything you’ve seen before. You thought you knew what you were up against? Think again. Your job is simple: Get in the Jaeger, sync with your co-pilot, and start smashing. Harder. Faster. Louder. You’ve got the Catalyst-powered weapons—everything from ion cannons to titan fists—and you’re gonna need every bit of it to bring these beasts to their knees. Your job is to end them. One punch, one blast, one kill at a time. When you’re finished, the Kaiju are gonna wish they stayed in the ocean. And if you die trying? Then at least you’ll have given the Kaiju one hell of a ride. What to Expect: High-octane combat, baby. Jaeger vs. Kaiju—the ultimate showdown. No mercy—Catalyst weapons are designed to tear Kaiju apart in ways they’ve never experienced. These Kaiju? They don’t stand a chance. But that doesn’t mean you get a free pass. You’ll need grit, guts, and strategy to get through this. Explosions. Heavy artillery. Blood. Every fight is a brawl that’ll have you questioning your sanity as you rip monsters from limb to limb. The truth behind Catalyst is ugly—figure it out fast, because Lima’s burning and you’re the only ones who can stop it. Required: You’ll bring everything. Your fists, your guns, your teamwork, and a sick desire to smash anything that moves. This ain’t no Sunday stroll. This is war, and it’s gonna get ugly. You move fast, you kill faster, and you never stop fighting. This is your battlefield. Your Jaeger? Your weapon. You’re not just fighting to survive—you’re fighting to destroy. Time to show the Kaiju what happens when you piss off humanity. Lima’s waiting for you to prove you’ve got the guts to end this. Now, get in there, and tear some Kaiju apart! Time to punch it. Let’s go!
We will be using Everyday Heroes, the modern version of D&D based on 5e rules with a few tweeks to make things like Mechs fighting Kaiju possible. Anyone who has played 5e should quickly be familiar with the system. I am a seasoned DM who is very familiar with both new and veteran players. I like to focus on character development and big story moments, using both narrative role-play and combat mechanics to help aid in providing the most fulfilling experience at the table that you will want to brag to your friend about well after it happened. You will have the option of using Pre-gens or building your characters, but I am mostly looking for players who are looking to tell a collaborative story and have a fun time at the table while we blow things up. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Additional details
How to prepare
Familiarize yourself with Pacific Rim if you have not watched the movie. It is not required, but may help with certain game terminology as you play. Otherwise, you will need a microphone and possibly headset for audio as well as a Discord account which we will be using for the audio. We will play through Foundry and a link for that will be provided. A copy of the Everyday Heroes rulebook is not required, but may help with character creation and referencing rules during the adventure.
What I provide
I will bring my knowledge of the system as well as the Everyday Heroes and Pacific Rims modules in Fantasy Grounds. I will provided professional level maps and visuals to enhance the adventure.
Gameplay details
We will be using the 5e compatible system that was inspired by d20 Modern known as Everyday Heroes. It is almost identical to 5th Edition D&D with some small changes to make it suit things like running a Jaeger against a Kaiju. If you are familiar with 5e it will be very comfortable for you to pick up. If you do not know 5e its still very easy to jump in and play with a small learning curve. All player levels are welcome!! Pacific Rim uses large mechs called Jaegers to fight huge godzilla like monsters known kaiju. It's a ton of fun even if you haven't seen the movie. I will be sending a google form to capture your discord info and potential Lines and Veils. I will also send you a Discord link to get your connected to the server. The Foundry link will be provided once enough players have joined the game.

How will character creation work
No experience with Everyday Heroes is needed. Player Characters will be created using the Everyday Heroes Rules and will work for the PPDC mulitnational force of highly advanced robotic engineers, tacticians, and pilots whose mission is to push back the Kaiju threat. If you would like, I will have Pregen characters available. Due to the unique nature of the Jaegers all pilots will be paired with another pilot to control the Jaeger. We will cover this in session zero and if there is an odd number we will either use an NPC or a twinned pair to control the second pilot position. You also have the option to create your own Jaegers during session zero.
