About the adventure
This is a game for both experienced and inexperienced players using the Inferno Campaign Setting Acheron games. Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy inspires Inferno, and in this campaign, we will not only be exploring this conception of the Inferno. Along the way, players will encounter issues of morality, intuition, and philosophy that are inherently religious and spiritual. This game is going to handle heavy subjects in your character's journey to complete their player-developed goals. Most importantly, the question we will be trying to answer is “What does it mean to be good?” As a note, I did not create this setting or the resources being used. They were created by Acheron Games. They have very interesting historical and folklore-inspired settings, such as this one right here.

About me
Hello I am Dennis Koonce. I have been playing and GMing TTRPGs for almost 9 years now more so running on 10 so probably not as long as some of the other people here, but I think I do a good job at trading experience for my storytelling. I am a short story writer and I'm at the point of finishing my first book. I take a lot of time when it comes to my world-building to give players the best experience possible. I love world-building and creating stories that include the characters of the players. I have played and read tons of games from the deep grimdark of the Wrath and Darkness 40K system to the vast and infinite imagination it takes to run a My Little Pony adventure module for 5E for my niece. So, when it comes down to it I have a huge experience in GMing and playing in and out of my comfort zone. All the settings I run will in some way be related to the world that I write my books in mainly because I feel like that creates a more natural history for my world than something that's 100% written out. Yeah, the end result probably could be the same but it's the story to the end that really matters in my mind. I am the guy who likes to prioritize the rule of cool most of the time unless it becomes super egregious.

Creating your character
Before the game begins players will create their characters in a one on one discussion with Me the GM. All players will start at level one and all stats will be rolled with four D6 dice, removing the lowest number. If a player rolls four sixes they will keep that total number. If a player rolls four ones, they will keep that total number. Players once their stats have been rolled out will be able to trade their lowest role for a 15.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All books will be available through the discord server. All players have to bring is a microphone, and if they wish to roll dice instead of digital dice through roll20 please bring those with a way of verifying your rolls. https://discord.gg/2vWXVFSs9j
What Dennis brings to the table
We will be using rule 20 for our virtual tabletop, discord as the means of communication and a stark emphasis on rule of cool. Combat will be intense and deadly players will have to think about there decisions and weigh whether or not getting into a fight is worth it.

How Dennis creates a safe table
Every form of documentation will be sent to the player through the discord server that this will be played on. In session 0 will be going over the content of the campaign in a more thorough detail to ensure whether or not players are actually comfortable with the concepts that are going to be explored within this campaign. The divine comedy has a lot of religious conceptualization around it thus this means that have your topics are going to be explored. Players will have to make it clear what concepts they don’t want to be explored so that I know to leave it out of the game. There are already some topics that I will not be exploring such as anything relating to children because of how extremely sensitive that topic is to myself and to others.
