About me

I'm a passionate World Builder and Voice Artist, and I combine those skills to bring fantasy worlds to life through TTRPGs, I also work closely with my Players and communicate with them to involve them in the World Building process, making the setting of the campaign truly our own, embracing collaborative storytelling So I am more-so a World Director rather than the Game Master. I design fun gameplay scenarios for my Players, but my sessions are carried by expert Narration and Role-Playing first, but I also make sure to include traditional adventuring and combat scenarios with fantastical creatures as well. I played Dungeons and Dragons 5E and Call of Cthulhu, but I'm much more experienced with the former over the latter, I'm open to playing in other RPG systems as well, but my main system is D&D 5E

Character creation

Creating your character

We can work together to create your characters to suit the Campaign, we can use Foundry VTT with modules that make character creation a lot easier, or we can use DNDBeyond if you prefer. I'm also open to other methods that you may know of that I don't, just as long as we can Import the sheet to Foundry in the end, since it's the Virtual Tabletop we'll be using to play together

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need is a decent microphone so we can hear and understand you well as we play, it doesn't matter what type of microphone it is or its quality, as long as it is intelligible enough over Discord calls.

What Lestragson brings to the table

Setting schedules and organizing notes for our character plans and such can be done over Discord, I create private channels where each Player can talk to me as a DM one on one to discuss anything pertaining to their character that they don't wish to be known to everyone. As for the sessions themselves, they'll be hosted on the most robust and feature rich Virtual Tabletop that I've ever used from the ones I tried out, Foundry VTT. It has a lot of great tools for representing scenes, maps, tokens, character sheets, stat blocks, and so on. We will also be talking in a Discord Voice Call as we play Our imaginations will also be a valuable asset, narration and theater of the mind play a strong role in filling in the blanks that VTTs can't cover on their own.

Homebrew rules

The Stunned condition is modified to be less debilitating than Paralyze but still a threat to Players and Enemies who receive it. Rangers get a feature at Level 5 that bypasses Concentration requirement for Hunter's Mark.

Safety

How Lestragson creates a safe table

The setting of the campaign is dark, but the depiction of dark themes and how it's presented is something that we as a group can decide together during session zero, with flexibility for any future adjustments that might be needed And if we miss anything, breaks and aftercare should help us keep the game running in a way that's comfortable for the group, and anyone can always feel free to take a break or log off whenever they feel like
