About the adventure

Many ships travel into the unknown for fortune, knowledge, and sheer foolhardiness, some famous and some unknown. What is known is that the stations at the edge of explored space log them all, and await for their return. So few come back that even an empty ship is news to excite known space. Recently, Edge Watch Station 57 which is known as "The Brink" has had a ship come home. The Naralan has returned from it's maiden voyage to The Brink, which is the wrong direction to return in. Hails have been ignored, the ship appears mostly undamaged, and so some Brinker crew must go make contact. You are that crew, going to board the Naralan and then try to find any crew, fix any damaged systems necessary for docking, and get the first scoop on what happened to the ship in the 56 years it's been missing. If you succeed you'll be heroes, and if you fail the Naralan will be left adrift outside the station. Also, if you refuse you're fired and will need to find a new home.

How to prepare

Players should read the character creation, combat, skill checks, saves, and panic sections of the book, have a microphone, a computer with internet, a forge-vtt.com, and a discord account.

Gameplay details

This game will use a session 0 to set player expectations, make characters, and discuss safety tools. This game also uses X,N,O cards for player safety during game. X cards stop the game if content that players are uncomfortable with comes up, N cards are used when a player feels content that could lead to an X card is coming, and O cards are used to check in on a player if you feel content may have upset them. This game uses the Lines and veils safety tools. Lines are content that players do not want in the game at all. Veils are content that players only want hinted at. The default lines and veils at this table are No Sexual Assault, No Racism, No Homophobia, No Misogyny. This game will have a 10 minute break if it goes beyond the 2 hour mark. This game also has an open door policy, so players are free to leave for any reason if they need to.

How will character creation work

Characters will be made at the table with the group during session 0, or after death as quick as you can. Players who join late will be given a paid private session 0 with the GM to get them into the game.
