About the adventure
Join me in a variety of dragon-themed one-shots, featuring a new dragon each week. Each tale's adventure level and theme are voted on by members of the discord server: https://discord.gg/RnAZCeyWcm Inspired by Fizbans Treasury of Dragons, find yourself hunting down a red dragon in its volcanic lair one week, and seeking out a rare gem on behalf of an amethyst dragon the next week! Perhaps a faerie dragon has invited you to take part in its play! So gather your team and join me for some Scalebound Stories in 'Tales from the Draconomicon'!

About me
Hail Adventurers! I'm Michael, an experienced Game Master from Australia with a passion for unforgettable adventures. Over the years, I've run games for events like Supernova and Avcon, and I've become a fixture in my local game store's Adventurers League. It's safe to say I'm no stranger to the world of tabletop roleplaying. I love meeting new people and weaving epic tales. My games are a unique blend of deadly tactical combat and immersive roleplay sprinkled with plenty of shenanigans. My primary aim is to be your story enabler, empowering you, the players, to steer the narrative and create truly unique adventures. Be sure to explore my array of public games, where I regularly host a variety of one-shot adventures and campaigns that promise hours of fun and excitement! I can't wait to roll the dice with you and share some fantastic adventures!

Creating your character
(Material Inclusion): All official Wizard of the Coast books are allowed. (Character Level): Each adventure will specify the level to create your character. (Material Inclusion): All official Wizard of the Coast books are allowed (no partnered or 3rd party content without checking with me first) we will be using the 2024 rules, which means wherever possible use the latest version of any races, spells, classes, subclasses, feats etc. *Be sure to untick legacy, homebrew, and partnered content on D&D Beyond. (Stat Allocation): Use either the standard array or point buy Methods to allocate your stats. (Background Options): All backgrounds are available. If your background doesn't already grant you a feat, you can choose an origin feat to go with your background. (Starting Equipment & Magic Items): You will start with your standard starting equipment that comes with your background and class and a number of magic items depending on the adventure tier. - Tier 1 (level 1-4 adventures): 1x uncommon - Tier 2 (Level 5-10 adventures): 2x uncommon, 1x rare - Tier 3 (Level 11-16 adventures): 3x uncommon, 2x rare, 1x very rare - Tier 4 (Level 17-20 Adventures): 4x uncommon, 3x rare, 2x very rare, 1x legendary **You may trade up two magic items of the same rarity for one magic item of the rarity above. When trading up magic items, you cannot trade up for a magic item of a rarity greater than the rarest magic item available, and you can't have more than 1 Legendary magic item. (for example, you can't have a very rare magic item in a tier 2 game, but you can have 2 rare magic items) (Spell Casting) It is assumed that you have all material components on your character (including costly ones); however, once a spell component is consumed, it is no longer considered on your character. (For example, if you have 'revivify' as one of your prepared spells, then you will have 1 diamond on your character worth 300gp as well) You may precast any spells to get around lengthy casting times. However, casting these spells will still use spell slots, as there are no assumed breaks or downtime before the start of the adventure. (Beyond Your First Game) Playing multiple adventures will earn you a game streak. Returning for consecutive adventures will earn you an RP point at the start of each consecutive adventure you have played in, to a maximum of 5 points. Your game streak will reset after 4 weeks without joining a game. ~let me know if you have any questions~
The village of Evergleam celebrates the lighting of the Holly Flame, a magical beacon that maintains a ward around Toril powered by the people's joy. This year, the flame sputters out as a mysterious frost overtakes the sacred Yule Tree. Now, you must find out the cause of this frost and light the Holly Flame before the ward falls, letting in unimaginable horrors!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
(Communication) Make sure you have at least a microphone. I would recommend a webcam, though it isn't essential. (Accounts) Make sure you have a Roll 20 Account, as it will be used for battle maps, a D&D Beyond account for character creation, and a Discord Account, as that is how we will be communicating. (Character) Make sure to prepare your character ahead of time through the D&D Beyond link provided. If you need help with character creation, be sure to reach out to me, as I'm happy to help and answer any questions you may have or troubleshoot any technical issues with you. (Tokens) Generic Class and number tokens will be available; however, if you would like to use any custom tokens for your character and/or summons, be sure to provide them at least 15 minutes before the session starts. **All links will be made available at least 2 days prior to the adventure starting**

How Michael creates a safe table
(Safety Tools) Part of the start of each session will be a miniature session 0 discussing the safety tools in use and what to do if, at any point, content makes you feel uncomfortable. If at any point a topic comes up that makes you feel uncomfortable, there will be tools in place for you to privately message the DM and the offending content will be skipped, no questions asked. There will be a short scheduled break about halfway through the adventure. This will be a good opportunity to go to the bathroom, have a quick snack or message the DM about any concerns you may not have felt comfortable bringing up in the moment.
