About the adventure

The world of Sarinvale is still reeling from the cataclysmic invasion of the hells a full two centuries ago. The remnants of once powerful kingdoms have banded together into a Confederation and have been making a effort to bring the world into a calm state, yet the embers of the cataclysm still scar the land, a mysterious disease which turns mortals into otherworldly beings, the rise of the restless undead becoming even more common, and the distant whirling of machinery from the wastes of a once beautiful kingdom. Many secrets can be uncovered and many lives changed by the actions of a select few. The members of the Demon-bane Engine stand at the edge of the kingdom keeping its shadows and threats at bay...but will they be content with just watching the edge...or fall off it into the abyss? The backdrop of this campaign is the sundered lands of Sarinvel, still recovering from the cataclysm, the gods overlooking these lands are both cruel and kind, their ever piercing gaze across the land constantly both a blessing and a curse. In such a grim setting, light and hope is all that matters, many live simple lives, the remaining kingdoms banned together and everyone is just trying to push the world back to what it once was. Players will have a direct impact on the world with their actions, shaping not only its story but how it recovers from its scars. Expect heavy roleplay that will build friendships and brake down walls, your choices will shape the people around you just as much as the world. Combat will be intense and tactical, the beasts and beings you will face are constantly shifting both in their tactics and their goals, leading to changing battlefields and perhaps even new opportunities no one expected. Bring your desire to explore, to help and to truly immerse your self into the depths of this expansive setting.

About me

I have a lot of hosting experience with Pathfinder 1e and Pathfinder 2e as well as Dungeons and Dragons 5e and Daggerheart. I favour heavy roleplay but it goes without saying that combat can also be really enjoyable. Generally my overall goal is that everyone has fun while playing, experiencing gripping stories, having fun and seeing how the players actions impact the world and the people around them. So more than anything, I want everyone to have a blast. That being said if there are issues that arise between players I try to play the neutral party and mediate, while I don't like kicking out players I will if their continued presence would hurt the game and the experience of others.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will likely start at level 2 and we will be creating them during session 0, i will be helping anyone adjust and make sure their character fits in with the world, even willing to talk outside of session 0 to help completely flesh things out so that you have plenty to look forward to.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Having Discord will be needed for talking since it is the primary way i host games. Foundry VTT will be used to show the game and where most of the dice rolling will be done. Brushing up on rules is never a bad thing especially with the new changes to Pathfinder 2e, but i will do my best to help keep the rules in mind as we play and even levy them in your favour when able.

What Mia brings to the table

My own foundry server, a plethora of PDF's and modules for the ease of player interaction, music some 3rd party books such as Battlezoo and Year of monsters.

How Mia creates a safe table

The game's focus firmly falls into Roleplay but has a good bit of combat that's mainly dictated by player choice.
