About the adventure
--- What's Happening in the Campaign --- With Orcus defeated, we slip into Rime of the Frostmained (started 7/16, Session 23) and an endless winter. From it new threats arise. Most notably, the Sunblight Clan, covertly guided by Asmodeus, as they build the Chardalyn Dragon* and dream of world domination. *Giant magical mech dragon. It's awesome. --- Campaign Road Map --- -> Ghosts of Saltmarsh (Levels 1 to 12): An initial investigation reveals not just a mounting Sahaugin invasion, but Orcus's machinations. Only you can save Saltmarsh, your home, from both. But it's the blade you can't see that cuts deepest as the Nine Hells move in the background. -> Rime of the Frost Maiden (Levels 13 to 16): Your victory is short-lived as the goddess Auril unfurls her magic to save or damn the Swor Coast, burying Saltmarsh in a new ice age. However, to defeat her, you must delve into the past and a long gone civilization known as the Netherese. -> Descent into Avernus (Levels 17 to 20): The Nine Hells have won as the Archdevil Zariel finally collects on her ancient pact, dragging the entirety of the Sword Coast into Avernus. But their victory isn't complete. Not while you breath.

About me
Hi👋, I'm Franc, better known as Golvin. I'd like to be your GM. While I mainly run D&D, Call of Cthulhu, and Alien RPG, my real pleasure is trying new modules and systems. (Cowboy Bebop RPG anyone?) Which has led me to a specialization in running one-shots, often including highly detailed handouts, pre-made characters, and other player aids. I also write the Reviews from the Far Reams Substack newsletter, currently focused on helping others get the most out of Call of Cthulhu 7e modules.

Creating your character
Players may create their own level 1 character or use one of 6 pre-generated characters. How Golvin - One-Shot GM creates a safe table
As part of onboarding for the game, I send players my Line & Veils and ask for theirs in return. Which are then confirmed at the beginning of the session as part of a mini-session 0. During the game, if anything disturbs you, please tell me, leave an "X" in the chat, or privately message me. I will then remove the offending or skip past it. Likewise, if you feel the adventure is going in an unsavory direction but use an "N" instead. I will also check in if I notice anything is off.
