About the adventure

"Y'all can go to Hell. I'm going to Quickstone" --Davy Crockett, probably The adrenaline tingles in your fingertips as your posse dares to explore an offshoot of the abandoned mine shaft north of town. The seduction of walking through passages that haven't felt a footstep in thousands of years propels you forward, the pay ain't bad either. What ancient secrets are down here? And what protects them? You shove those questions aside and stow yourself as you open the door slowly. It creaks open and nightmarish howls bombard you like a stampede assaulting all your senses at once. Every fiber of your being wants to run back to that dusty old town and grab the first lightning train out of here. The Sheriff didn't hire the cowardly kind though, and you are packing with magic, iron, and a group of the finest damn folks you ever had the pleasure to work with at your side. You draw steel, "For Quickstone!" This heart pounding scene and more awaits you in this thrilling adventure tailor made for you and your characters. In this game you can expect: 🔸Thrilling combat encounters that rely on teamwork and strategy. 🔸Gut wrenching drama participating in immersive and character-driven roleplay. 🔸Mind boggling mysteries of extraplanar threats. 🔸A Frontier setting full of magic trains, crystals, saloons, mines and more. Strap on your wand and mount up! We ride at dawn! We play using the 2024 rules! Art used with permission, C Dean Spencer Art. DM Eric V does not use AI generative art or text.

About me

🧙‍♂️Gen-X, 🏳️‍🌈Queer, 🪄Witch,💛🤍💜🖤 they/them/he,🌲and I get lost in the woods a lot. GM Eric V is a full-time professional GM, with lifetime's worth of experience in running games for discerning players. They have thousands of hours of experience running games in Roll20 and Foundry and use Discord for voice and video (video is always optional). Eric is dedicated to running each campaign to a satisfying conclusion, and "playing to find out" what happens. You won't get run through a conveyor belt of published modules "as written", and you can count on a GM who is dedicated to their craft and takes their role of being an ambassador of the hobby seriously. At Eric's table, the player characters aren't just involved in the story, they are the story! We forge friendships at the table and promote an inclusive environment focused on player safety and maximum fun. This is an LGBTQ+ and allies space. Eric has had the pleasure to work with an amazing community of players and has GM'd for clients such as: Target, Google, Hidden Path, and more.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters start at level 4 using my heroic array Make a character that delights you and your friends at the table. Have fun, be creative, ask for help if you need it! You can come to the table with a character concept, pick a pregenerated characer, or if you like I will help you create a character that will be fun to play. We can work together to pick species, class, and abilities to match your playstyle and preferences in session zero or one-on-one meetings. You can create your character using nearly anything from: WOTC published content with the world of Eberron in mind. GM Eric V doesnt have a ban list, if its in the 24 rules or expanded content published by wizards, you are good to go.

Safety

How Eric V - House VanSingel creates a safe table

We leverage safety tools to promote a positive and safe place to play together. When you join, you affirm the following: "I wont attack other players or steal from them (PVP) and I will play a character who isnt explicity evil or selfish. I will respect the narrative consent of others and be a team player. I promise not to engage in problematic play and I will come to the table with a great attitude." This is a positive place that welcomes all and is a LGBTQ+ space. We will go over additional safety details in session 0, but make note Eric leverages the safety system based on the TTRPG Safety Toolkit using red, and yellow cards. ⚠️The campaign does not contain: sexual assault, racial prejudice, systemic racism, homophobia, or transphobia. ⛔Zero tolerance policy for harassment of any kind. This includes breaking safety and consent lines. We play games that emphasize emergent play - the kind of stuff that comes up when everyone "plays to find out" what happens next. If you come to the table in good faith and ready to roleplay at your comfort level, you are going to have a good time. One of GM Eric V's guiding principles is to create the space for you to be yourself and have a great time. Over the years I find that the folks who have the best time are looking for an experience that values roleplay, enjoys (or is willing to learn improv), and likes to flex character abilities in combat in equal measure.
