In the shadowed depths of Waterdeep lies a place that few know exists: The Bone Bazaar. This hidden marketplace is no ordinary trade ground. Its stalls gleam under ghostly lantern light, and the wares offered for sale are unlike any other: the bones of the dead, imbued with powers, memories, and ancient mysteries. Adventurers, criminals, and dark practitioners gather here to trade in life and death, seeking relics of magic, cursed knowledge, and forbidden memories. You are hired hands working under Caine Marrow, a sly and charismatic broker who deals in bones and memories. You will serve as his eyes and ears, and when necessary, as his fists. You will engage in dangerous dealings with powerful factions, unearth and smuggle cursed relics, outwit or outmuscle rivals, and carry out whatever tasks he demands - no matter the cost. This campaign is for players who enjoy dark, atmospheric storytelling with a touch of horror and a love for morally complex choices. It's a world of strange magic, forbidden knowledge, and grim history. Expect to encounter powerful NPCs with hidden agendas, relics that carry curses or strange effects, and a variety of factions vying for control over the Bazaar’s twisted market. The game will emphasize roleplay, intrigue, and collaborative storytelling. Players are encouraged to create complex, morally nuanced characters with goals, secrets, and backstories that may come into play during the campaign. Combat will be present but used sparingly, often as a last resort or consequence of failed negotiation or stealth. Tension and suspense are woven into each mission, with tasks that may require cunning, subterfuge, or simply the willingness to get one’s hands dirty.
