About the adventure

Step into the enchanting, mysterious world of The Knights of Walpurgis, a Harry Potter-themed TTRPG set in the late 1960s to early 1970s—a Hogwarts like you've never seen before. In this alternate universe, the enigmatic and ambitious Tom Riddle takes his place as your Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, his teachings laced with dark intrigue and thrilling danger. Under his watchful eye, you’ll learn to defend yourself against forces both known and unknown, while whispers of his ambitions echo through the castle corridors. But it’s not all shadow and suspense—Hogwarts is as magical as ever, filled with wonder, camaraderie, and discovery. In The Knights of Walpurgis, you’ll experience the life of a Hogwarts student, from attending classes like Potions and Charms to making friends, rivals, and even allies with your fellow students. This is a slice-of-life adventure, where you’ll spend your days casting spells, sharing secrets, and exploring the castle’s hidden corners, each moment adding to your personal Hogwarts story. Explore Diagon Alley, pick out your first wand, brave the Sorting Hat’s decision, and dive into the rhythms of student life. Here, each character is brimming with personality, from your mischievous housemates to the professors with secrets of their own. Beyond classes, there are mysteries to uncover, friendships to forge, and adventures waiting around every corner. Will you slip into the Forbidden Forest after curfew? Or perhaps uncover a hidden passage under the castle? As you join The Knights of Walpurgis, the stakes grow higher. Riddle’s influence casts a shadow over your world, and you may find yourself drawn to the allure of power, secrets, and hidden knowledge. This game is a dance between light and dark, where every choice shapes your journey through the wizarding world. So, pack your trunk, grab your wand, and prepare for a Hogwarts experience like no other. Here, in The Knights of Walpurgis, magic, mystery, and adventure await those brave enough to claim them. Your Hogwarts letter has arrived…

Gameplay details

*About Me* I was pulled into the world of TTRPGs in 2018 and have been hooked ever since. I started out as a player and have dabbled in being the GM on a few occasions, for my friends. I love writing and creating stories, and after some very heavy encouragement from my little group of pals, I've decided to share my story with the world. I am Neurodivergent (Autistic), LGBT, Gender Diverse, and POC. I am very very accepting to people of all walks of life. I offer respect to anyone who will freely give it in return. I try my best to create an accepting environment for everyone as much as possible. *GM Style* RP Style: I try to bring my NPCs and settings to life as much as I can. I heavily enjoy in depth backgrounds and world building. Combat style: I love combat and tactics! In my opinion, combat is a game of skill, but it should also be fun. Perhaps you'll die, or perhaps not! I do not ever fudge my own rolls, (LAME) and I'll always give players as much helpful advice during combat if they need it. Rules: I love working within the set rules as much as possible, however I absolutely encourage creativity. If it works and it makes sense its most likely to be a yes! Warnings: This game WILL include harm to children. Your character will be between the ages of 11-17 during the duration of the game (Except for the planned epilogue as adults), and will experience the failure to be protected by the adults around them. In addition, they will be exploited and manipulated by Tom Riddle as he is one of your teachers. Now, there will be a build up in the intensity of these things as the game goes on, (So we will not be starting with the worst possible first) there is a high likelihood of some pretty triggering content as the game progresses. Please keep that in mind! Adult Content: I do not allow explicit content at my table. However, I do encourage romance. There will be limits and boundaries around what is acceptable at what age (Given that you are playing children), but certain interactions will be accepted or denied based on the appropriate limitation for their age. Please keep this in mind while playing! SA and any illusion to it is not allowed. Whether in game or in backstory. *Safety* Everyone's safety is my #1 priority. I believe that D&D should be a welcoming space for all, and I will do whatever I can to make sure that is a reality. I am always open to feedback on safety and what I can do be more accommodating. I encourage everyone to be open with me about their needs and triggers so I can avoid them as much as possible, and please don't ever hesitate to remind me or correct me about things!

How will character creation work

We will be using the Wands & Wizards Rulebook in tandem with my own Homebrew rulebook linked here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BY7U9mYLQD_p9O9e42AYLHG2Xr6ZCsR8Ye07MaGXfVw/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.frfwms2htyde The setting of this game begins in the fall of 1966. You have just recieved your Hogwarts acceptance letter and are a bright eyed and bushy tailed 11 year old ready to start the challenge of becomming a talented Witch or Wizard. We will workshop together to create a dynamic character with their own personality, quirks, likes, dislikes and backstory! I love going in depth with characters, so please add as much detail as you like. Please keep these ideas in mind when coming up with a concept! -What does your character LOVE? What Interests them? -What do you want your character to Excel in? -What do you want your character to be BAD at? -How does your character want to be seen by others? -What kind of goals does your character have? -How will they take the initiative to achieve them? -How did your upbringing affect the way you look at the world? -How do they go about making friends?
