Against The Feral Crown | Custom Campaign/Setting
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
Campaign In this campaign, you will embark on a mission to eliminate The Feral Crown - a powerful criminal guild wielding vast wealth, influence, and exotic beasts throughout the Kingdom. Beginning with only a few clues in the first session, every decision thereafter is yours. You'll explore a rich homebrew world, each location offering distinct cultures and opportunities as you work to dismantle the guild's operations. The Feral Crown operates in secrecy, existing in rumor, as mysterious as the creatures they command. This journey demands cunning over combat - from seedy taverns to noble manors, you must gather intelligence, forge alliances, and unravel their network. With overwhelming odds, you must outthink your adversaries. How will you and your companions root out this threat and restore peace in the kingdom? _______________________________________________________________________ Tone and Style This campaign features mature themes and intense role-playing scenarios. Expect tense moments, careful planning, and precise strikes against a criminal empire. This isn't about charging in with swords drawn, it's about investigation and calculated action, where exposure could mean failure or death. _______________________________________________________________________ Setting Welcome to Sigrid's Legacy, a land where ancient magic flows through newly awakened ley lines, and diverse cultures live in an uneasy peace. This continent was discovered by dwarves fleeing famine over three millennia ago. Today, in the year 3124, the recently unified Eastern Kingdom faces rising tensions as the first Queen struggles to maintain order. From the gleaming towers of Eldoria to the storm-battered shores of Seawatch, from the artistic haven of Arcadia to the industrial might of Ironhold, each city tells its own story. In this time of arcane renaissance, the discovery of new magical ley lines has attracted scholars and mages from across the realm - but it has also drawn darker elements seeking to exploit this power for their own ends. _______________________________________________________________________ Join Step into the shadows and end The Feral Crown's reign.
Game style
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Storytelling
From my perspective of a heavy roleplayer, Sov is a great and fantastic DM who values setting a beautiful scene and allowing people to sink into it as far as they wish. He rarely stumbles and often flourishes in the chaos of the moment, offering both fun and somber moments with expert poise. Gentle and kind, he is often very fair. All persons are welcome into his table, so long as they are polite and respectful! Combat is kept simple so it doesn't bog down. (For those similar to me who do not enjoy it as much) Still, it does happen. And to dramatic effect! Albeit less emphasized, his ability to weave a perilous combat is regardless quite effective. A large mixture of theatre of the mind and plain board layout. Though, with his narrative skill, any encounter is still quite fun and often a playground for more storytelling from both sides. Sov also genuinely takes the time to incorporate player choice and their backgrounds into the narrative with surprising and satisfying revelations. Each week I am greeted with a deeply rewarding experience, leaving me pining for the next session.

How will character creation work
Part of session 0 will be character creation. The party will have an open discussion about its needs and wants. This method will allow, but not require, the creation of bonds, alliances, and a balanced team appropriate for the campaign. If the party wishes to be a bunch of mismatched misfits, that is totally fine too. Character creation will be through dndbeyond.com. I will send a link to the campaign, where characters can enjoy all the digital content I have purchased.
