About the adventure
Crime syndicates and political corruption saturate the streets of Sharn as your adventuring party is called upon by an old friend to find and retrieve information from a potential whistleblower who has been asking dangerous questions. Beginners to D&D should feel welcome to join this 5e adventure in the steampunk, noire setting of Eberron to find and recover lost artifacts from an age thought forgotten. You and your new team will uncover secrets that could empower you to save Sharn from the corruption of a post war power vacuum or become leaders of the criminal underworld yourself. Characters will start at LVL 3 for this adventure. Players are encouraged to think creatively about their characters and their backstories as I will take time to weave them into the setting thus making each session and party truly unique! I provide a 1:1 call (via Discord) for each of my players before the session in order to go over the basics of the game, build their characters and answer any questions. This complete one-shot adventure serves as an introduction to me as a DM and has the opportunity to turn into a full campaign if the party is interested. Beginners to D&D are encouraged and welcome to join. .

Creating your character
Character creation for this one shot will happen 1:1 with me prior to the session. Think of it as your personal Session 0! When we meet we will discuss your character agree on a backstory and discuss how we might weave your character into the existing game world. This will also be a great time to ask me questions and to tell me the kind of adventure you are looking to have. The Nuts and Bolts: Currently using 2014 rules but will eventually start integrating 2024 rules. LVL 3 Character Any D&D 5E published content (open to others but discuss with me first) (1) Feat Roll (4) D6 and drop the lowest for stats
-Adventure starts at LVL 1 and is 100% Beginner friendly. -If you would like to have a character created for you message me when you sign up. -Players will maintain access to Roll20 content for at least 2 weeks after last game played -Players will maintain access to my table's Discord community indefinitely (as long as they abide by the community guidelines of Start Playing and my table).

Preparing for the session
You will need the following: -A Roll 20 account (Free) -A Discord account (Free) -Microphone and Webcam (if you are using video) -Schedule a 1:1 Session 0 with me (about 60-90min) -Completed Consent Form That's all! Come to the session excited to play and with an open mind!
What Violet brings to the table
I have all core D&D books on Roll 20 and they will be available to you for at least a week after the session ends. I use Roll20 as our VTT and Discord for all video/audio/text communications. You can use physical or digital dice. I expect players to be fair and mature. I am not going to micromanage players' rolls (we all love to use our favorite dice). but I promise you will not have as much fun if players decide to fudge their rolls. The fun stuff: I encourage all of my players to be creative when it comes to all things related to their character and how they respond to the world. I will reward creative or well role-played actions with various advantages and consequences. I'm not expecting you to be an academy award winning actor. Just describing what your character is doing or how they are speaking is enough, but I encourage you to put yourself in your character's shoes and think "What would they honestly do?" If you have an idea you are unsure about come talk to me about it! I will help you turn your idea into something that can work in the world we are playing in! This is make believe! Tell me the story YOU want to tell! I'm big on visuals and will be using maps and tokens that help bring the world to life! I encourage you to create an avatar for your character, but I can help if you are having a hard time creating an image! Audio/Video Audio is required to play, but video is highly encouraged. It is great to see everyone I am playing with be able to play off of everyone's body language. Feel free to toggle between audio and video as you feel comfortable. I rather see you from time to time than not at all!

How Violet creates a safe table
Player safety is priority #1 to me. There is nothing so important to a story that it can't be adjusted to fit the needs of those at my table. I will include a consent form to be filled out and submitted to me BEFORE we start playing. I also have an open door policy so you can ping me on discord with any questions you need answered or if you just need to talk to me privately. If something happens in session that impact you negatively we can pause or you can come to me after the session to discuss. I use a stop light system (Red/Yellow/Green) to allow players to let me know in chat or voice if they are feeling uncomfortable. I will review all safety measures as a group before we begin playing. Topics I will NEVER touch: -Racism/Sexism -Sexual Abuse/Assault -Chattle Slavery (Talk to me if you need more information) -Intense descriptors of blood or gore (I will just say something is gross) -Abuse or violence towards minors -Disordered Eating/Eating disorders -There are probably others but those are my big ones to avoid at all times
