About the adventure
Sordane is a beautiful world replete with vibrant cultures, continents, and a myriad of countries. There are places to explore, people to meet, and adventures to be had. In the mighty city of Ezdin, the jewel of the Cin'darian Empire, in the land of Bordair many find their fortune and fame. Ezdin has been the seat of Cin'darian power for thousands of years, a beacon of technological, magical, and economic progress that is respected and feared by almost every other nation in Sordane. Despite the great peace that covers Sordane, dangers still lurk around the world. Within the depths of the ocean, the clouds of the skyways, the hidden caverns across the continents, and within the very heart of Bordair. Where ambition for fame and wealth glows, there are those hidden in the shadows of its light that plague those around them. Rumors have begun to spread across the underworld of a power aiming to rival that of Cin'dar. Vandalism has appeared on buildings in the Midsky District and the Dregs, some even appearing on the walls of the Haggler's Court. The gold shields of Ezdin have been telling citizens that many of the culprits have been caught and interrogated, and the situation has been handled and investigated with nothing to fear. There is no such thing as a "Pirate King" or "Royalty from the Void." Nothing can harm Ezdin. The Sky Halo protects the city and is the most powerful feat of technology in the world that is powered by the largest crystal in existence: Liladan's Heart. However you find yourself in this dangerous world, a unique set of circumstances has found you in a precarious situation, thrown head-first into the danger that surrounds this world: Pirates, and not the heart-of-gold kind either. Whether you were out and about on your own and found yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time, perhaps you were pursuing the pirates but found yourself at a disadvantage and now in their hold, or you've been in it from the beginning - a slave taken from another raid, a former member of the ship before it was own by pirates, or a member of the crew who spoke against the captain. This campaign is set within the Airship Campaigns/Skies of Sordane setting created by Arcane Minis. It is a magitech fantasy world with powerful magic, twists on the common races, crystals called Sordalite that give energy to powerful weapons and airships, and a vibrant world crafted with care and patience. It is a world outside the normal planes of D&D such as Faerun or the elemental planes, cut off from them all by the Void between the dimensions.

I have been running TTRPG campaigns since 2015. Started as a player, then moved up to running a session once every couple weeks. Now I'm doing it weekly, and I can't get enough. I love to write and build worlds, and this lets me be every character I've ever written. I'm happy as the Forever DM, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my worlds with others!

The Cryptmaster provides well crafted and intricate worlds that make you want to explore. Characters are unique with a quirk or two to feel more realistic. Character creation
Creating your character
Characters will be created during the Session 0 and perhaps even before should you have a solid idea and there are other players in the group at the time. We will be using the "4d6 Drop the Lowest" method of stat allocation using the Avrae Discord bot. We will be starting at level 3 and working our way up to level 20. New players to either Sordane, D&D, or TTRPG's in general will be guided through the level-up process and what all they get, including character creation. All official published WotC content for D&D5e is approved for use, alongside the content from Deep Magic by Kobold Press and Airship Campaigns by Arcane Minis. Additional content may be approved after a quick inspection.

Reduced price for first sessions after Session 1** Welcome to the world of Sordane, an advanced medieval world filled with majestic and powerful monsters, ingenious weapons and armor, amazing vehicles - mainly the airships - and a detailed and explorable world created by Arcane Minis. It is complete with different player roles on a ship, different feats and level-up mechanics as a crew member, combat and movement, and a large variety of airships to choose from! Become the crew of an airship and bring glory to you and your crew! Will you become pirates to join in with all that "king" nonsense, will you become the heroes of the skies and bring justice to the evils of the world, or will you be a mercenary that helps whatever side gives you the most money? Invest and upgrade your vessel, craft your gear and harvest the materials you need to create or upgrade it, earn fame or infamy from every faction you come across, and forge a path to glory using the skills you and your crew have grown over the course of your burgeoning career. It won't be easy, however. There are many an enemy that sails the slipstreams of the heavens - be they pirates in their scrap ships, angry monsters who have turned the clouds into their homes, zealous military vessels who may get a little handsy if you look even remotely sketchy, or rampaging elementals who don't take too kindly to ships blasting through them amidst terrifying flying battles.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a working microphone, an account with Discord, and a web browser for Foundry to participate fully. Rules and world info will be covered when the player joins or on Session 0, whichever happens first. Characters will be created during Session 0 or slightly before, depending on how many players have joined at the time. The book for Airship Campaigns will be available as a PDF on the Discord server for perusal alongside implemented assets within the VTT.
What CryptMaster brings to the table
I will be bringing the Foundry VTT we will be using, alongside custom maps, tokens, and additional content from the Airship Campaigns book - which covers airship roles, combat, weapons, armor, and a list of available races. I like to use voices for certain characters, and will find good ambient music for the campaign. Combat will be taxing and require good positioning. Your enemies can range from monsters big and small, soldiers and sailors, and creatures from different planes that make their way here through the Void. This includes airship combat which is its own bag of goodies. I love the Rule of Cool! If it's something you think your character can do and describe it well enough you might not even need to roll for it! Could even roll something else for it as long as you have a good justification for its alternative use. There's swashbuckling, flying and sailing ships, cool crystal-powered guns, and powerful magical gizmos and gadgets. This is the realm of powerful artificers and spellcasters, where magic reigns supreme. Lets do some cool stuff!

How CryptMaster creates a safe table
Session 0 will cover both character creation and any limits or triggers for players who wish to participate. These can either be covered through the Discord voice chat or direct messaging. Breaks can be taken when needed or at the session's halfway mark. I have a zero-tolerance policy for mistreatment of fellow players and those who choose to take negative stances where "it's what my character would do" or promote a phobic mindset are not welcome. Toxic acts, statements, and certain forms of roleplay are not welcome. Meta-gaming and building the perfect character are discouraged. We're here to have fun and escape from reality for a bit. The setting, rules for airships and their use, and aerial combat are all provided by the Airships Campaign book produced by Arcane Minis. The setting is called Sordane, a large world with multiple landmasses separated by oceans each with their own cultures and kingdoms. The world is diverse and well-developed, filled with ocean vessels traveling across the waves and airships using slipstreams and wind currents to travel across the clouds. Magic is infused in most things and propels the mighty airships across the skies, so expect a high magic setting with a lot of magical hijinks and tomfoolery involved. You do not need to own the Airships Campaign book as I will provide it for you alongside assets created in the VTT discussed below.
