The Red Hand of Doom š„ Lvl 5-10āFace the Horde, Save the Vale
Survive the red hand of doom as their horde sweeps across the veil!
About the adventure
For years, the villainy of the Wyrmsmoke Mountains fought amongst themselves, squabbling, murdering, and betraying. Now they are united. Azarr Kul, the son of the Dragon has given them terrible purpose. The folk of the Elsir Vale, men, elves, and dwarves among others, have little notion of the marching ruin. As a band of adventurersā sellswords and other itinerantsā you will uncover his plans in a chance encounter with his scouting bands. You'll stand no chance against the horde alone. To save the Vale, you must spend strength and steel and bloodā and more. You must use cunning, plan, scheme, deceive, parlay, and slow the horde. You must fight like lions, and move like the fox. You must risk everything for the slimmest chance to turn the tide. You must be heroes. *** (This is a 5e game based on a module from 3.5e) This campaign starts at level 5, and progresses to 10-12, depending on play. It assumes the players are generally motivated to save the Elsir Vale, but they may choose to have selfish or morally gray reasons to do so, or they may ultimately desert or flee if it takes the campaign in an interesting direction. Although the theme is warfare and combat, my games are mostly about storytelling and narrative. I reward creative thinking and strategy, not just crunching dice and hit points. To succeed, the players will need to pick their battles. If that excites you, then please join us!

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello, adventurer- Iām a calm, emotionally intelligent, and patient 33 year old father. Iāve been running games for about 8 years now. Iām an artist and creative writer, and storytelling at the table comes naturally to me. I love the alchemy of group storytelling, and empowering my players comes first for me. When theyāre able to live in immersive, dramatic moments, I get to be there with them.

Sets the Mood
Tim is an amazingly creativity GM. He has wonderful details and characters. He keeps the storytelling moving and the team engaged. He is very laid back and easy to get along with. Very likeable fellow. He encourages teamwork and is very patient with the players new to the system. In a word, his sessions are FUN! I would highly recommend him as a game master and I think you will defiantly get your moneys worth from his games!
Character creation
Creating your character
Starting level is 5, roll for stats, no standard array. We'll create characters during our 0 session. Races, classes, and backgrounds should reflect WotC content. I look out for power-creep and jarring genre mismatches between characters and setting. I can guide character creation and provide pre-generated characters. I'll allow one mulligan if someone rolls absolutely terrible stats and wants a do-over.

How Tim creates a safe table
We'll be getting to know each other, and X, N, and O's are a useful tool to set boundaries for content, situations, or behavior that makes us uncomfortable. Messages on discord, signaling on video, or voicing your XNOs is all acceptable. We can also state potential triggers or content boundaries in our 0 session, but we don't have to be exhaustive. XNOs are a flexible tool for in-session. I also like to reflect and chat at the end of a session. We can talk about what was really cool, and I'll ask for some feedback on what you really enjoyed, and what you'd like to see more of.
