Call of the Netherdeep: a level 11-20 Critical Role adventure

Call of the Netherdeep: a level 11-20 Critical Role adventure

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

Underwater Adventures! 🌊 Heroic Rivals! ⚔️ Explore Exandria! ✨ Can you change fate? The greed of mortals has awakened a powerful entity long thought destroyed. For eons, this mighty champion of the gods has been imprisoned in the darkest depths of Exandria. His name has been forgotten, as have his heroic deeds. Languishing in despair, he calls out for new heroes to save him. Inspired by the campaigns of the hit series Critical Role, this adventure begins in the Wastes of Xhorhas and leads to the glimmering oasis-city of Ank'Harel on the continent of Marquet, and from there into a sunken realm of gloom, corruption, and sorrow known as the Netherdeep. Above it all, the red moon of Ruidus watches, twisting the fates of those who have the power to shape the course of history. Will the red moon of ill omen shape your story’s end, or will heroism prevail? Instead of starting at level 3 and ending at level 12, this campaign will be starting at level 11 and ending at level 20. All encounters will be changed with the stakes raised, but the plot, goal, and locations of the campaign will remain the same. I have run this campaign before twice with this level change and the players enjoyed it and had a lot of fun! Play a higher level adventure today! This campaign will be using the 2014 5e rules.

Played in a 9-hour level 20 one shot game. It was great to get to play a long game at high levels with a knowledgeable DM. Definitely recommend for those looking to play top tier DND! Thanks again Dev!

The BEST high level DM on the market. Dev's ability to not only run a 6-7 person high level D&D party, but still make it balanced, challenging, and extremely fun is unmatched. Come enjoy some high level combat and adventuring fun!

Dev Alva was the DM for my first online D&D session and I had a lot of fun and overall a great experience. They're very friendly and seem to genuinely want everyone to have a fun time during a game. Their knowledge of the rules seems solid and they have creative narrative ideas to add into combat scenarios so that it isn't always just down to rolling dice. And if your really shy and socially awkward they are very good at helping you feel welcome and comfortable. I would recommend Dev Alva to anyone!!!

How to prepare

Players need a working mic and access to a computer. The game will be held over discord and roll20, so you will need an account on both. Players will need to make their character sheet ahead of time in roll20 or dndbeyond. If dndbeyond, they will need to have the chrome extension beyond20.

What I provide

If you play with me, you'll be playing with one of the most recommended dms on the site, as well as one of the most experienced dms for balancing high level play in 5e. Before I became an SPG dm, I was running level 11-20 adventures for years. I use unique monsters, strategies, and my vast experience to truly deliver an amazing game. If you love combat, this is the game for you! I work hard to provide an immersive online experience for my players. I use music and soundscapes to set the mood. I use imagery for theatre of the mind roleplay, and beautiful maps from various sources for combat and exploration. I am constantly improving my roll20 room with effects and visuals for you all to enjoy. I make sure to give everyone a chance for their character to shine, and play to their strengths and abilities. In my games you can expect challenging combat, great improvisation, and an immersive world to play in. I put player agency and involvement first, and I want to emphasize the fact that this game is a cooperative environment between myself and the players. I run my games RAW, or rules as written. If you have a rules question for me that I haven't come across before or forgotten about, I will pause the game momentarily to look it up and make sure everything is according to the spirit of the rules. I reference Sage Advice/Jeremy Crawford tweets, but have my own opinions as well (such as the interpretation of magic missile, shield master feat, and dispel magic).
