About the adventure
This is a classic dungeon crawl where you will explore a vast dungeon to find wealth and magic, sell the treasure to buy better equipment or (more likely) spend the gold carousing to gain more experience. Beginners are welcome. Be forewarned, character death is common, yet do not fret as new characters are made very quickly and you'll be back playing within minutes.

Creating your character
Character creation follows simple Shadowdark rules. I have plenty of pre-created characters to choose from or you can build your own on my foundry server. You can also create one on-line at https://shadowdarklings.net/ During our Free Session 0, we'll discuss character creation and team creation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a good internet connection and a decent computer. A microphone is required and a webcam is preferred. You will also need an account on Discord. What Gene Armstrong brings to the table
I like to run a relaxed and fun game. Some battles are serious and tense but do not expect a constantly serious game. I like to laugh and encourage others to try anything that might be exciting, heroic or fun. I have my own Foundry VTT server and a wide choice of tokens for you to choose from. Character creation can be done in just a few minutes using my Foundry server or you can create your characters for free at https://shadowdarklings.net/ We use discord for private chats and Audio/Video during the session. Role playing and team work is the focus of my games. I do not allow Player Character (PC) vs. PC harm or hampering etc. Not every relationship has to be perfect (none are) but PCs have to work together as a team with respect. Battles are generally tactical but in many situations, the scenarios can be resolved with creative role playing and not just killing everything. Some battles are deadly and if your character dies we will get you back in as quickly as possible with a new character.

During our free session 0, we will discuss character creation and determine what topics you may find uncomfortable. This game is open to all and as such profanity is discouraged. Shadowdark is rules light and I strongly encourage just having fun. If you're new to Shadowdark or Role Playing Games in General I can provide you with pre-built characters if you wish. You just need to bring your imagination.
