About the adventure
OverDawn's setting is high fantasy with Adventure being the theme. Think "Avatar Last Airbender", "Delicious in Dungeon", Indiana Jones etc. This game is great for new players because I'm also new at Dming so no judgement! This is also great for experienced players to enjoy something new.
Game style
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

How to prepare
Have a DnDBeyond account, A discord, and as for character creation that will be done at session 0.
What I provide
Okay, here we go! I use AnyFlip to access most DnD 5e material I need which is free use. Plus it looks like you're flipping pages of a book. Which I think is neat! I use DnDBeyond to run the campaign, use Discord for Video and sound, and keep my notes and plot secrets on World Anvil. I do character voices, utilize ambient music when applicable, and give people roles and responsibilities, which I will discuss later at session 0. It is important to me for the players to be a part of the creation of the story so communication about expectation and wishes is a top priority for me. I'm a mix of a linear and sandbox DM. OverDawn is pretty established physically it just needs players to give it life. The rules are more like guidelines that can be crossed when appropriate. Especially if it makes for a better story than what I had in mind. I admire Brennan Lee Mulligan's DM style and Absolutely love "Tales from the Stinky Dragon." by RoosterTeeth production.
Gameplay details
Safety Tools are new for me but I see the value in making sure no lines are crossed. Open communication between myself and a concerned player is welcomed and feedback is not only necessary but asked by me to be able to learn from your input. In session 0 I will go over the story behind OverDawn and talk with players about homebrew mechanics and rules. Session 0 will also include character creation and how they best fit in the campaign.

How will character creation work
This adventure in particular is a level 1-15 campaign broken into three parts. The characters will be created on DnDBeyond at session 0 so there is rapport between players, established backstories, and easier to have a conversation about character Race and Class decisions.
