About the adventure

"Welcome to Baldur’s Gate, a veritable nest of rats and vipers clinging to the rocky slopes overlooking the Chionthar River. From their high perches in the Upper City, the local nobles — known as patriars — gaze down with veiled contempt upon the common rabble in the grimy Lower City, which hugs the foggy harbor. The whole of Baldur’s Gate reeks of blood, crime, and opportunity. One can easily fathom why pirates and traders are drawn to this place like flies to a carcass." Baldur's Gate is one of the many jewels on the sword coast. A city where anyone can try and make a name for themselves, whether it be legally or not, any and everyone comes to take a shot. From the most lawful paladins to the most chaotic rouges, anyone and everyone lives in Baldur's Gate and some even form teams of unlikely allies, like a druid and an artificer can work together on an invention, a paladin and a rouge commit heists together, and a fighter and wizard run a gambling ring underneath a church. A place where even the smallest little things can become and adventure of the ages, a truly wonderful place of worthy of being a beautiful jewel of the sword coast. Now what happens if all of that came falling down? If everything and everyone was forced to fight for their survival? How would you and your allies handle it if everything went to hell? Now that would be an adventure.

About me

Hey hey 👋 My name is Nicholas and I am someone who loves TTRPGs. I'm mainly familiar with DnD but I strive to learn (And potentially DM) more! I'm just someone who wants people to play in a way that lets them show what their character can do in any situation. I love DMing and I want to see people love playing the games they want to try out.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will all be rolling our stats publicly D&D 5e (2014) races, classes, spells, and backgrounds only. We will not be using the 2024 rules. Homebrew is allowed but I must approve it. Take starting equipment from your class and background Players start at level 3 Character levels gained via milestones When you create your character, you may take a free feat You roll for your stats, but if the total stat points are lower than 80 you add points until you have 80 points in total. These points can be in any stats you wish (You can only start with one feat, so choosing a variant human means you do not also get the free feat for example, this is also true with backgrounds)

The current party

Currently Level 4 Human Paladin - Oath of Vengeance Changeling Bard - College of Lore Dragonborn Ranger - Gloom Stalker Reborn Fighter/Warlock - The Undead

Safety

How Nicholas Carneiro creates a safe table

There will be a session zero to discuss characters and roll for stats publicly and to discuss boundaries and expectations as well. There will be a 10 minute break in each session (a player is welcome to walk away for however long they need to for any reason.) If anything bothers you or makes you uncomfortable then let me know immediately and I will talk with you to see what can be done. There will be a consent forum for me to know what you are and aren’t okay with as well so I can build around it. If you have any questions or prefer to talk rather than text for any questions I would be happy to.
