About the adventure
We've got Magic To Do in this Musical Theatre/D&D Crossover! This one is for all my fellow Theatre kids. Based on the Bob Fosse and Stephen Schwartz musical "Pippin", this short-term campaign plunges you into the mysterious realm of the Feywild. There you'll find the residents of the Obsidian Garden Theatre, a motley band of Archfey that loves to put on a show. Will they help you find your corner of the sky? Or will you meet your finale in a blaze of Glory? Find out in this Level 10 Mini-Campaign by Jake P! (Also, Session 0 is FREE!) . Cover image generated by Meta AI

About me
Hey everyone! I'm a long-time player and DM for D&D 5e and many other systems! I'm a voice actor, musician, and all-around storyteller. If you're looking for a mixture of intriguing role-play, strategical combat, and the adventure of a lifetime, look no further! . I decided to start hosting games because it gives me a way to play with and experience all different types of people! I can tailor any game or character to your group's playstyle, and I'm proficient in the Homebrewing skill!

Creating your character
Character creation will take place during a FREE Session 0! We'll create characters over Discord during Session 0. After booking, players will be sent a code to join the Discord server and the Roll20 game. In the Discord server, you'll find a fillable PDF of the classic 5e character sheet. You may use a different character sheet if you prefer, but I need a copy of your character sheet in the traditional format. Players can feel free to use any race (species), class, or subclass option published by Wizards of the Coast. If you want to use any Homebrew content (or want to test my Speedster class) you must discuss it with me first. . Characters will be built at level 10 for this campaign. You gain any equipment provided by your class and your background. You may also have any non-magical weapons and armor that you are proficient with. You can only carry 2 primary weapons, 2 secondary weapons, one set of armor, and one shield. You may also have 2 rare and 2 uncommon magical items. Only one of these may be a weapon. You must be proficient with the weapon to use it. . You may choose to take any feat that's been published by Wizards of the Coast. Except for Lucky. Lucky is silly and it gives me a rash. . If you need components with a price tag for your spells, you have a limit of 1,000gp to "purchase" these components. For example: If I'm a Cleric, I can "purchase" a diamond worth 300gp for Revivify. My new total for "buying" components is 700gp. . Backstories are going to be great in this campaign. While the content of the campaign won't cover much of player backstories, they can be used in many different social encounters! Bring out your inner theatre-kid and use your best creativity and acting skills!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To join the game, players will need a computer with an adequate internet connection. They will also need a microphone and access to Discord, either through an internet browser or the Discord app. They will have to have a Roll20 account so that I can add them to the game. . If players choose to roll dice exclusively on Roll20 that is fine, but I love rolling my shiny math rocks at home. If you own dice and would like to use them that is fine with me. However, I reserve the right to ask anyone to roll on Roll20 if I feel that their rolls are suspicious in any way. . Players should bring water! Talking a lot takes a toll on your voice! Just make sure that any food or drink isn't so noisy that it distracts other players.
What Jake (JP Adventures) brings to the table
As a GM I love storytelling. I'm a classically trained actor with a passion for voice acting. Each character you encounter will have a voice and a thought-out personality. I try to craft a compelling and immersive experience for all of my players. I engage the players in active roleplay as I take on the persona of each character, beast, or monster. I love to do sound effects with my voice and make you feel like you're experiencing what's going on. The absolute most important thing to me is that you have fun. If we do nothing that I have planned, but the players have fun, I count it as a productive session. . For this game, you can expect a well-thought-out storyline that will have plenty of references to satisfy your inner Theatre Kid. My acting skills will be on full display as we dive into the twisted minds of Fosse-inspired Fey. . As far as resources go, I have plenty. The majority of the game will be played through Theatre of the Mind, but when we get into combat we'll use Roll20 for all our tactical needs. During character creation (which is FREE) I can assist with different D&D resources. I provide a fillable PDF of character sheets to my players, and I have multiple sourcebooks in a digital format. I can also talk them through different options as I own a copious amount of 5e literature.

How Jake (JP Adventures) creates a safe table
After booking, players will be sent a link to a Google form where I'll ask them to provide any lines and veils. They will also be asked to complete the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. If a player has any concerns or triggers that they feel would be pertinent for me to know, they are more than welcome to contact me. . Players have the right to initiate a break if they need one for emotional, physical, or medical reasons. They have the right to message me directly during a session if something makes them uncomfortable. If a player behaves in a manner that violates the SPG Code of Conduct, they'll be given two warnings. After the third offense, they will be politely removed from the group. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of all players involved.
