About the adventure

You begin in the city of Valtage, capitol of Innifer. As an already-established adventurer in your own right, you answer the summons of a university looking for scientific samples from the Leshlesh Desert to the north. An encounter in the desert leads your party to wonder about the nature of the world of Zannalyn--sparking an epic adventure! New players are welcome! We start at level 5. This is a low-magic setting, so no casters will be allowed except with a good backstory reason. My table is a safe space for all players, and I take player comfort very seriously.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters can be made in Session Zero, or between Session Zero and Session One. All officially published material is fair game, but for homebrew please ask and allow me to go over it first. Characters will begin at Level 1. If there are any questions about character creation I am happy to discuss them before or during Session Zero.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players may create characters during or after Session Zero. A general familiarity with the rules is best, but I do not mind helping players with those rules. Accounts with Foundry/Forge will be needed. I do not mind walking anyone though making those accounts Mics are strongly encouraged. Webcams optional.

What Alexandria brings to the table

I use the Foundry VTT and will have custom maps and tokens for all settings and NPCs. I would also be willing to work with players on creating custom tokens for PCs if desired! I do my best to have thematic music for my sessions, or in the very least ambient tracks for combat and non-combat situations. You may mute the music if you wish. We can either do voice, voice and video, or a mix of both depending on what is discussed in Session Zero.

How Alexandria creates a safe table

In Session Zero, we will discuss any potential triggers to steer away from and any content that is not to be included. A general Lines and Veils document will be provided, with a space provided to include anything not outlined in the document. The Foundry I use has anonymous X-cards built in, but you may message me with those as well. Aftercare will be discussed in Session Zero, but generally we'll take five or ten minutes after the game to do a check-in and discuss anything that the players want relating to the game. Any tags listed here are up for discussion For example, if alcohol use is a no-go topic for anyone, I will not include it in the game.
