The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, or Escaping to Another World 101
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
This campaign is based on The Wild Beyond the Witchlight Campaign. You've been invited to a carnival! Wow! You're sure there's nothing weird or strange happening at this place. But wait . . . what's that portal over there? Well, gosh darn it. You've been teleported! And into the Feywild, nonetheless. You're thrust into the wild and strangely political happenings of the fae, and things are much darker than you anticipated (especially based on that whole carnival opening). It turns out that the Feywild is under the control of something called the Hourglass Coven, and they are a bunch of certified freaks. Do you have what it takes to shake the dastardly hold of the coven and save the Feywild realm from their nasty talons?

How to prepare
You will need a computer and microphone. Completely up to you whether you want to be on camera or not! I will probably be, but there's no pressure to join me. I'll send you a link for a Google Meets invite, so you'll need a Google account to join. You'll also need either physical dice or electronic dice. Please have a way (either digital or paper) to create and keep a character sheet as well.
What I provide
Expect a fun time! This will probably be much less dark than it seems on the frontside. I love to roleplay, so there will be plenty of opportunity for that. If everyone is open to it, I'd love to utilize some quiet ambient music to set the scene. I'm a low-key DM, I'm very chill about rules, and as long as you can back up what you're saying with a reasonable explanation (and especially if its funny), it will probably go.
Gameplay details
Please know that you are welcome to take a break at any point, without any notice. There is no judgment here! We'll have a 5 to 10 minute break midway through the session as well. If you would like to note something is disturbing or triggering, feel free to speak up or send me a note personally. At the end of the session, we'll take about 5 minutes to debrief and talk about the session, things you liked, think I did well, or things I can improve on (aka, our stars and wishes!).

How will character creation work
This will be standard D&D 5e, and I'd prefer if you used a race/class that is present in one of the published books (found at https://www.dndbeyond.com/classes and https://www.dndbeyond.com/races). Your character should be level one. You can come with a prepared character or you're also welcome to create your character at the beginning of the session during the introduction phase (but I would strongly suggest having at least an idea of who you would like to play coming in).
