About the adventure
Experience the troubles and glories that fill the life of an adventurer in the Forgotten Realms. Fulfill contracts 📜, find treasure 💎, fight monsters 🧟, delve into dungeons 🏰, and face dragons 🐉. Your character has a promise to keep 🤝, a dream to realize ✨, or maybe they just really like gold 💰. The adventuring life is how they will make it happen. Playing long sessions is difficult to schedule and find time for, but we still miss playing DnD 🎲 or want to try it without having to sacrifice a weekend 📅. A long-running campaign with shorter sessions can fit your schedule 🕒, and the consistency of attendance will quickly show how much you can accomplish in just two hours each week ⏱️. DnD 5e, for Beginners 🧙♂️ or Veterans 🛡️—I run pre-written campaigns from Wizards and other authors, as well as my own homebrew adventures 📝, and customize encounters based on your characters' backstories 🎭. We start with "Dungeon of the Mad Mage" (by M.T. Black) 📖 and decide which campaign to follow in the main plot together after its conclusion (estimated at 2 sessions). What I provide
Discord will be used for playing, with voice chat in a server created exclusively for the game and its players. The game rolls, maps, and tokens will be managed on Roll20. The campaign encounters and adventures will be a blend of pre-written plots and original encounters written by me in order to bring your characters and their backstories into the spotlight. 🌟
Gameplay details
In Session Zero, we will go over our previous experiences with DnD and set expectations on what the players will have their characters face, how they will evolve, and how they will interact with each other and the game. I work with an open-door policy; you may leave the call and the game at any time, no questions asked. However, I am also available to listen to feedback or problems in case something can be done to improve your experience. How will character creation work
If you have a bit more experience and want to expedite your character creation, here are a few pointers: ➡️ Level 2 starting characters ➡️ Standard Array ➡️ Custom Background allowed ➡️ Multiclassing allowed ➡️ Homebrew allowed (subject to approval) Characters will be created with the follow-up and approval of the DM. The primary instructions will be covered in Session 0. Starting at level 2, all player characters will be free to use any resources from official WotC books (from the PHB to Tasha's and Xanathar's) and are also free to suggest homebrew content to be shared with and await approval from the DM (e.g., Ryoko's Guide to Yokai Realms).
