About the adventure
A great intro to Pathfinder 2e and 2e Remaster! You make your way to the Greatest Escape, a legendary vacation spot on the coast. It has been hewn from one of the eldest mansions in Golarion, now a hauntingly beautiful resort getaway that hosts any number of activities that are simply to-die-for! After your first all-encapsulating night, the morning is broken by an ear shattering scream and the scent of iron in the air. Will you be able to retreat from your retreat before your stay becomes permanent?

About me
Since I started playing tabletops I've loved all the joy it brings people at a table. It's like going through a fantastical novel with a group of like-minded lovers of adventure! I've been GM-ing for about 10 years, and every session is worth the memorable experiences that I hope both I and my players receive.

Creating your character
Use normal PF2e rules to create your character at Level 1. If you prefer you can make it before the session, but Session 0 will help bring everyone together. For the sake of the set up, you all have your own reasons for heading to the Greatest Escape, but the adventure will benefit from characters who are: Driven to help others, driven to seek revenge, and driven to seek out truth. I don't have a lot of strict rules for how you make or idealize your character but remember you're going to be part of a team. "What your character would do" is a good thing for roleplay, but if using that justification hurts the party, you need to make a different character.
The party is a sturdy combo of physical elements - Dolgrun Stout (Dwarf Barbarian) charges across the field for devastating hits while noticing things others don't, Taz (Lizardfolk Swashbuckler) sets up dizzying spectacles of skill that lead to crushing finishers for himself or allies, and Shele (Nagaji Alchemist) manages to create mystical effects from normally mundane ingredients - whether thats to harden skin to steel or to throw bombs that that test natural and unnatural elements.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I don't require webcams, but a mic is a must. Discord is needed, and getting familiar before we start, but that is also not required as I can help you through that before or during Session 0. Since this is a guide more than anything, rules knowledge is unnecessary, but feel free to read up as much as you like. Archives of Nethys has virtually every rule including the Remaster content. I am more than ready to guide anyone who needs it through character creation and navigating the rules.
What William brings to the table
SESSION 0 IS FREE! A lot of Pathfinder 2e content is readily available due to resources like Archives of Nethys, but feel free to talk to me about more specific things. I'm going to be using Roll20 and Discord for the game table and communication, respectively. This is a homebrew game and I like a balanced experience for my games, so I try to put life into it as best I can from the locations to the characters you meet to even the treasure you find. I will try to spice things up with music and interesting encounters, allowing you some creativity with Rule of Cool as long as it's not TOO far outside of what you could normally do (I've allowed imaginative uses of spells, using skills outside of their normal parameters, that sort of thing. Creativity is rewarded).
Homebrew rules
-If you have a feature/trait/ability that had alternate options and you haven't gotten any use out of it, you can switch it out at the end of a session even if thats normally not an option.

How William creates a safe table
All the safety tools listed will be in play, we'll discuss Lines and Veils. This can be either one-to-one or as a group, I don't mind either way. As for X, N, O they're digital, just send the letter through chat or as a big emoji, this can be public or private as necessary. Session 0 could easily be avoided depending on how eager everyone is to jump into things, and if we do need a Session 0 it will probably be for helping out with characters and getting familiar with the rules. I'm welcoming everyone, but this is intended for newbies to PF2e so if you do have some experience be patient or help the others, please and thank you.
