About the adventure
Prepare for jaw-dropping feats, mystical creatures, and heart-pounding excitement as our daring performers take center stage! Come one, come all! Humble performers become leaders of the Circus of Wayward Wonders when tragedy strikes. But as these heroes lead their motley band of performers and roustabouts around the Isle of Kortos, they uncover a sinister plot to exterminate life from the Starstone Isle. The dead god Aroden may be gone, but his legacy lives on, as do his old enemies who would destroy the wonders he raised from the sea. Spectacle meets savagery as the heroes strive to stop the Extinction Curse! The Extinction Curse Adventure Path begins! The Circus of Wayward Wonders has just arrived in the remote town of Abberton, and the player characters are the stars of the show! When the ringmaster turns up dead, the fate of the traveling circus and its entertainers hangs in the balance, and the heroes must scramble to put on a successful show and find the killer—all at the same time! Investigations only lead to more questions, and the heroes find themselves center stage in a dangerous, prehistoric plot that threatens not just Abberton, but every inhabitant of the Starstone Isles! I've experience this entire adventure path as a player and have played 2e since its inception. I've RP'd as a dedicated player for almost 25 years. I know the strengths and shortcomings of this adventure path as written and have ideas on how to modify it to make it the best possible adventure for you, my circus stars (or staff :p ). Please note, this is a long-term adventure path leading all the way to level 20! This is your chance to have a god-like PC!

About me
Gamer since the early '80s. Board games, card games, video games, role-playing games, I love them all. I enjoy hosting/running games and game nights, making people feel comfortable, happy, and welcome. With GMing, in particular, I like to assist my players in reaching their goals, creating characters they enjoy playing, and handing out loot and bonuses, even beyond what a pre-written adventure might call for. I enjoy the camaraderie of a group of adventurers working together to heroically achieve goals and become friends, both at and away from the 'table.'

Creating your character
Characters may be completed beforehand or during Session O (during which we will strive to get started so that it doesn't feel like a huge waste of 2-2.5 hours). I will be available beforehand on Discord to assist anyone in character creation. All character creation guidelines and game rules will be available in Discord upon signing up for the game.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Ideally, we would all attend a circus and watch some amazing RPG-ish content together like the newest DnD movie, LotR, Firefly, etc. But really all you need is a decent enough microphone and headset (or combo) (please note that it is best for your fellow players to use a headset so they don't hear the echo through your speakers) to use with the Discord application (free to get/use) and any web browser you like that will run FoundryVTT (Opera, Firefox, Brave, Chrome, Safari, etc., all seem to work for most people most of the time.) (FoundryVTT through my link will be free to use, and everything will be stored on my PC - I will be able to put it up most of the time should you need or want access for some reason.) Most importantly, bring your sense of fun and adventure!
What Kristin brings to the table
I own the complete adventure path, so everything required will be available. Paizo provides a free Player's Guide I will list a link to, and the Pathfinder SRD has a lot of the rules and options available online. I will provide the best experience I can using FoundryVTT, including lighting and music when and where appropriate and possible. I expect cooperation, respect for your fellow players, and kindness to all those participating. I will do my best to provide a safe, welcoming, fun environment and game for everyone involved. With lots of killing monsters and RP, of course.

How Kristin creates a safe table
Regarding the trigger warnings, a good number of these can be avoided easily. I can 'write' them out of the adventure if there are any problems but you still want to try this adventure path. Please let me know as soon as possible what, if anything, bothers you. Once you join the game, I will send you a link to the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist to go over. During Session 0, we will talk about it (feel free to send me a completed checklist with any notes on what, if anything, you don't want me to share with the rest of the group) and make sure everybody knows what is acceptable and what is not. I've been through a fair share of trauma in my life, so I can easily use that as cover for anybody else who might not be okay with something but also don't want to talk about or be 'the reason' others can't do or talk about something. Although most things in game don't bother me, I can easily see how some things (like the murder of babies or children, as an example of something that would bother me) can be very traumatic to see or hear, so I'm happy to find workarounds and to provide protection for my players. Just keep me informed so that I can look out for you and nip anything in the bud should another player forget or something come up that you didn't realize would hit you so hard.
