About me
Wizards of the Coast DM Challenge Top 3 - And #1 in the USA! I love sharing in your character's story and trying to create the most fun gameplay possible! I've DMed for private events at GenCon, Comic-Con, Alamo Drafthouse, Wizards of the Coast's livestream, and many hilarious home games. I actively work to shape sessions to the table's vibe, often mixing popular official campaigns with improvised twists that fit your backstory.

Sergio is fantastic, so descriptive, brings audio and visual aids, keeps game fun and entertaining. Decided to add to my review...I have been playing now almost exclusively with Serg for over 2 years and he is undoubtedly the best DM I've ever played with. He works super hard to include everything about your characters backstory into the campaign/one shot. He is somehow always prepared for any curveballs or shenanigans and keeps the game moving smoothly...just simply outstandingly fantastic.
Sergio DMs with a laid-back style. He considers the rules as well as the circumstance and future implications; he keeps the game moving, narrated and fun. I like that he encourages characters to be creative with the mechanics without allowing us to abuse the mechanics. I'm looking forward to more sessions!
I've held off on writing this review for a long time, because I didn't want any more competition for spots in Serg's games. That's how much I enjoyed being at his table. Out of the nearly two dozen DMs I've played with through SPG, Serg is far and away my favorite. One-Shot Folks: get ready for fun, creative session concepts with cool hooks and engaging combats. Once our party was tasked with staffing a magic shop's Black Friday sale. Another time the players all portrayed living children's toys in the Shadowfell. You get the idea. Campaign Folks: you're in for a treat. Serg creates fully formed, lived-in settings teeming with memorable NPCs, locations and subplots. He uses the modules as more guides than sourcebooks, happily engaging in side-quests, rabbit holes and backstory explorations. Also one time he let my PC's owl familiar become a fully autonomous sidekick because it ate my PC's intended level-up MacGuffin. The man will get funky. If you're looking for a DM who will match the energy and chaos level of the table, Serg is it. If you're looking for a DM who will work with you to craft and delve into that backstory you've been thinking about for a year, Serg is it. If you're looking for a DM who understands storytelling, pacing and mood-setting--and who is absolutely down to improv you right into a series of tiger pits (but also into RP goldmines), Serg is it. Do yourself a favor and book a session (but don't take my spot).
I played a very different game that the GM was expecting and he was able to adapt quite well to my character just wanting to be over with the whole thing, so he could continue on his way. Very happy how everything went and had lots of fun with the whole premise of this one-shot. A sequel calls!
Character creation
Creating your character
Characters start at level 4 with a free feat. Point buy, standard array, or rolled stats are all allowed. Anything available on D&D Beyond (official, CritRole, third party) is allowed, but you must make a digital character sheet using D&D Beyond and share so I can look it over ahead of time. Pregens will also be made available. Alternatively, if you want to use Roll20 character sheets, I allow third party player options like Kobold Press or MCDM. I will need to discuss this together and approve before we play. You can also message me over Discord if you need help with a build idea or to check the party comp. I will provide a D&D Beyond campaign link ahead of the game to share my content.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A decent mic, Roll20 account, and D&D Beyond account will be needed. Please also get the Beyond20 extension for your browser. I will reach out ahead of the game to help with character creation or give out a premade character.
What Sergio Sólorzano - ActionSerg brings to the table
I provide maps and tokens on Roll20 as well on content sharing on D&D Beyond. I can also help with character building if need be or provide a pregen. I use video chat with voiced NPCs and continuous ambient music to foster immersion.

How Sergio Sólorzano - ActionSerg creates a safe table
As this is an evil campaign, we will be exploring darker themes. Before Session 0 I will check in personally for potential triggers and we will discuss party boundaries. XNO cards are used via private messaging on Discord. Game will be played on Roll20 for visuals and tactical maps with Discord (camera optional) used for chat. Beyond20 extension is used for connecting D&D Beyond to Roll20.
